Breeder's Description - 'Bubblegum'
Bubblegum was our first contribution to the seed world in 1993. Over the last decade it has proven, through numerous awards and world wide fame, that this plant is here to stay. We successfully inbred and stabilised this plant for it's most desirable characteristics, it's fruity smell, thick lingering flavor and short soldier like stature. Bubblegum breeds true, and has been used by many seed companies to produce award winning hybrids, and will make a great cornerstone for your breeding program. This is a true superplant!

Bubblegum is a well known strain that originated in Indiana in the 1970?s and taken to Amsterdam 1990?s. The lineage is Big Skunk with some NL#5.

Bubblegum is my favorite mostly Indica strain because it has an uplifting and euphoric high. It?s a great even head and body high that doesn?t feel lethargic like most Indicas. It has a wonderful fruity smell and taste. It?s a high yielding strain that commercial growers will love and a high that connoisseurs will love.

I grew out 5 females under 400 watt HPS lights. This is one of the most stable strains I?ve grown. All the plants looked pretty much alike and the dry yield ranged from 4-5 ozs off 3 ft. plants. The plant in the photos is my keeper because it was the best yielding.

Bubblegum grows compact and works well in SOG and small area grows. In SOG I get around 3 ozs per sqft.

Perhaps a good place to start this report would be the negative aspects of this strain, of which there are none! This is truly a killer example of cannabis breeding. It is ideal for indoors. Seriously, one could not ask for a better indoor plant; short stature, controllable odor (carbon filtration a must), strong, heavy yield, etc etc.

The appearance of these plants is very nice. If I were to picture in my head the ideal of a cannabis plant, it would be a Bubblegum, they're beautiful! Trichromes all over the stems, fan leaves, etc. Yes, you read right, 2.5 oz per plant! I am sure a more experienced grower could do better. Shit, I could do better, this was my first attempt at hydro! The kicker is, each plant yielded exactly 67.5 grams to the tenth! I re-calibrated my scale (palm 5.0), and even asked someone to bring over a different make and model (tanita 1479v) because I could not believe the results. 67.5 grams a piece, each plant had the exact same yield, despite the fact that they were very different looking specimens. The largest bud/cola ended up being just short of one whole ounce, at 14 inches by 24 grams. Manicuring them was not a hard task, I would say they have a high flower to leaf ratio.

The high is a good one, it?s a hard feeling to describe but it's good none the less. I?d have to say this is more of an evening smoke, however. Don?t get me wrong, I smoke it all day long, but some of the more sensitive among us may end up passing out after a bowl or so. Good stuff, good stuff. Be warned, though, if you smoke more than a gram or so in one sitting you are going to sleep within an hour or two, no way around it! This is potent shit, enjoy in moderation. On that note, it would also make an excellent medical strain in my eyes. It has great potential as a commercial strain as well, great potential.

Garden Information for this report
Bloom Wattage Used: 410w to 1000w
Average Plant Height: 72
Plants per Sq. Foot: 1.00
Average Yield per Plant: 2.50
Pruning or Plant Style: Bush

Closet grow, Deep Water Culture Hydroponic setup.
Lighting used was an aircooled 430 watt HPS Son Agro.
Given distilled water their entire lives.
Fertilized with GH nutes supplemented with Protekt (silicon) and Epsom salts.
Also given a dose of Superthrive in veg and Hydroguard throughout to ward of disease.
I DID NOT use H2O2 in my rez. I don?t believe it works nearly as well as some might think.

I'm always searching for mostly Indica strains which don't send me sleeping on the couch after a long day at work and TH Seeds Bubblegum is my favorite so far. I've grown TH's BG before and have grown all 3 BG's (TH, Nirvana and Serious BG) in this grow at the same time and TH's wins hands down.

What I like most is that TH's BG is the most uniform and consistent cannabis strain I've grown and other growers have told me the same.

I grow tall plants and try to fit as many as possible and the BG are the only ones who have excellent lower bud production even if cramped and with little light producing rock hard buds. The resin production is very good as well. Never had any over fertilizing problems with chemical nor bio ferts so far. They just grow so healthy with dark green leaves and the typical indica broad leaves. The serious BG's grew more like Sativa’s to my surprise.

Last time growing TH BG all plants had the perfect "Christmas tree" appearance. This time around my light timer broke when on vacation and they were sent back into vegetation leaving me with 2 meter plants indoor effecting it's true stature.

At the end of flowering mold hit my garden. Most of the top colas with their hard buds had to be thrown away. In my last grow without mold they yielded somewhere between 1,8 - 2,5 ounces. It was raining here for 3 weeks straight leaving humidity way to high. Even the dehumidifier couldn’t help. So not the fault of the strain.

I love this strain and will grown it again and if your looking for a easy to grow strain which doesn't knock the wind out of your sails after smoking BG is worth the grow. It's consistency makes growing her a real treat.

This strain can make a beginer look like a pro. The ease of growing is unbeleivable. The trich frosted leaves are insane. The buds look to be sugar coated. Very dence buds and short stature make it the ideal stealth grow. I have grown many strains but the bubblegum is my old reliable. Everyone that grows should try this strain. 30 days to mature 60 flower = show type buds that will amaze. I beleive this is one of the most over looked strains. Does well under low light conditions. I run 3 to 4 a 150 HPS.

This strain was grown out from a pack of THSeeds and proved to be one of the easiest strains I have worked with. A good beginner's strain, is hardy, forgiving of mistakes and yields well. The potency is a solid 7 out of 10, though I tend to prefer stronger smokes, my bubblegum seems popular with fri ...continued

sorry end of data on this report. here is the breeder orientation

T.H.Seeds - Breeder Information
T.H.Seeds was established in 1993, making it one of the oldest seed companies in Holland. It began in the C.I.A. (Cannabis In Amsterdam),which was: a Cannabis information center, a world renowned seed shop, the first hemp store in Europe and, according to Robert C. Clarke(author: Marijuana Botany, HASHISH!), "The epicenter of the Cannabis universe." THSeeds quickly gained an excellent reputation among the experienced growers
who purchased THSeeds. Year after year, these growers return to buy more THSeeds. Most comment on how pleased they are with the consistency and quality of the THSeeds genetics. This positive feedback from the growers themselves is the solid foundation on which THSeeds has been built. THSeeds is a grower-oriented seed company, we seek as much feedback from growers as possible.
