Hi everyone, I'm starting week 7 12/12 with my two blue mystics, I have about 40 sandy coloured hairs, I cant say they are brown really as I always find it hard to tell in the grow drobe and cant really get them out.

So I've taken a bud from low down to have a look at. The trichs seem a little milky so I thought I'd dry it out asap and give it a test smoke. At the moment I have it wraped in news paper in the airing cupboard.

Anyone got a quick way to try test bud or can I smoke it wet in a few days?

Thanks

cut and trim a little bud and put it on top of your light

when dry smoke the little bugger

it will be a harsher smoke because you not cured it but youll see what buzz u get off it

I've read that but to be honest I think it would burn to a crisp on my lamp, it runs really hot.

hi hedonist, avoid the micro wave at all costs, it ruins a good smoke. and give it a funny smell too.

i harvested my crop on sataday and un fortunately where im drying it (loft) temps have reached 37oC and my crop is nearly bone dry, after just 2 days
im pretty gutted as i wanted this lot to be pukka stuff for curing and seeing us through the summer.
now im left with speed dried weed just hope it gets a little better after a few weeks in the jars.

have to tasted your sample yet?

i speed dry on top of my reflector some times but you need to turn it regular to dry it evenly.

a quick dry way....use a smalish bit of bud, turn your oven on to 500 degreesF. Leave it on for 15 minutes. Meanwhile put bud in a paper sack. Turn oven off, tos sack in oven with the door cracked a bit. Ready in 5 minutes (ding!).

To avoid this, you should start curing early to slow down the drying process. If temps are high and humidity is low, you can slow the drying down by putting the buds in paper bags as soon as they get dry on the outside. This will encourage the moisture to leech from the inside of the bud, and slow drying down.
