Hi All,

I've started 10 Nirvana White Widow seeds recently, all germinated and growing well. I have some pics in my gallery which are not that up to dat but will be starting a grow diary on here soon.

I've just been searching the t'internet about how smelly white widow can be because rubbing a leaf of these little beuties leaves a right stink on your finger. Anyway, I came across this site [Spam.com], further down the page, titled 'Flowering Time', it says the following:
"On both mediums it is suggested to flower (12 hour light) the White Widow for 8 weeks, but 10 weeks will really give you the crystals you are after. We suggest the final 2 weeks of the flowering cycle to turn the lights off altogether - or at least down to 8 hours. This keeps the flowers from regrowth and stresses the plant into giving up its last drop of goodness as crystal to protect the flower...try it!"

Has anyone ever heard of no light for the last two weeks or even tried it? I'm intrigued!!

Some people do it, although i doubt putting it in complete darkness would help, i seem to remember a thread on here about leaving the plant in darkness for the final 72 hours and it was shot down as rubbish iirc.

Two weeks of darkness? Seems a bit extreme, some people do do 13/11 in the final weeks without any problems.

Yeah and increasing the light to 13/11 is only gonna cost you more electricity in the long run so that's non-sense too.

Not neccessarily, it keeps the plant in flower but gives it more light.
More light = more energy = (maybe) more buds?

Quite a few people on this forum do it and rate it.

evrything i have read on this subject the general consensus is it has no actual benefits over 12/12 to the end mate. This is reading about peeps that tried both... smile.gif
