Hullo!

I used to fish when I was but a child, I never really caught much mind. A small brown trout from a stream in scotland, a tiny, tiny roach from a canal and a 4-5lb carp in a lake in France.

Really, I enjoyed fishing because I sat on my arse in the sun in pretty places.

Anyway, lately i've been feeling the urge to get myself fishing again - I still have all my old kit so that's not the problem - the problem is since I was a kid i've moved to the Manchester area and i've no idea where to fish!

Also, my parents live up on the west coast, I was going to go visit and try a bit of shore fishing - I don't have a sea rod but i'm sure my normal rod will do with the stiffer end piece on.

Any advice would be appreciated!

sure your old gear will do mate. you can have a bit of fun on light tackle. have a look at www.worldseafishing.com click on the forums then the area that you intend to fish it will tell you whats getting caught around that way.and the sites free to join.
