Hey guys, this forum has been a great help in giving me all the info i needed to grow. Since growing indoors is not a possibility (strong hate for weed in my family) ive decided to grow outdoots ninja style. Anyways, i found this wood which isnt far from a motorway and has a path in it, but also shitloads of areas where nobody ventures and its dense with nettles. Needless to say i already prepped two plots so far, im going out now to find another two.

The strains are 4 Cinamon Skunks (all of which have popped the soil)
1 KC brains California Bud (still waiting for it to pop)

The site i found has incredibly nice soil, moist, dark, but i still turn it over and bring my own nutrient enriched compost i bought from WICKs. The thing is i am vegging them outdoors. I cant even put them indoors cause nobody knows wtf they are. They are in my mothers garden but she thinks they are tomato plants. Anyways, when is the EARLIEST i can plant them into the soil at my grow sites? also i will be using chipped gravel as a slug deterrent. Does it work? i couldnt find copper tape anywhere godamnit! there are slug pellets though i might have to buy them.

I attached a pic of one cinamon seedling ill try and update regularly.

Gravel will keep slugs off yes, you can make mini greenhouses out of cola bottles to protect the plants if you need to plant them out soon, just cut the bottom and top off.

took these pics yesterday of three cinamon babies. weather has been shit this morning cloudy, kind of cold, and rainy. hope this doesnt kill them. Im going to put one of them in a friends house under 24/7 CFL just in case some bullshit happens.

If I was you I would get those plants out and in the ground as soon as possible possible, if your plots are not very well hidden I think its best if you stick with the gravel stuff if it works because the slug pellets are normally blue and can be seen quite easily and the next thing you know you are busted or even worse your plants are gone when you go back and you have no bud.

Just an update on the plants, the one i have indoors under lights is gowing beautifyllu and i see two more leaves coming from the middle so that will be a set of four leaves soon smile.gif

the ones i kept outside , well, they are progressing slowly. It seems the cloudy weather over the past few days meant poor sunlight throughout. sun was shining today though and the weather is only gonna get sunnier so hopefully all is cool

Alright so i ended up planting one behind my shed in my mums place, which is going to be rented as of the 22 of June which sucks (come harvest time i WILL pay a visit to that place, ill just say i want to get something from the shed and rip the whole tree Yesssir) I bought slug pellets and that shit works wonders. Fucking slugs ate the first plant i planted outside. Thinking gravel was enough i left it unattended for a week only to come back to a 60% eaten leaves plant. the stem had become a freaking trunk though. i wonder if it will recover. I put slug pellets everywhere around all my plants. These are not harmful to other wildlife too so its all gravy. i guess so far so good in what is my first ever grow. smile.gif sorry for the lack of pics will get some on next visit to crop. !!!

Thats the poor plant that got munched by slugs. You can tell its the eldest of my plants because its already regenerating five pointed cana leaves.

http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff55/ra...ry/07062008.jpg

This is one behind the shed, south facing position gets plenty of sunlight

http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff55/ra...07062008003.jpg
last but not least, the healthiest and biggest of my plants.

There is one i left out but its pretty much the same as in pic 2

Plants are three weeks old i think

The first plant looks devoured, second and third look fine

Good luck!

Also what about if the people renting happen to stumble upon the plant?

its going to be an old lady, dont think she will venture out too often and inspect the back garden. the plant is outside the premises anyways on a patch of land behind the shed then theres the river barrier. i might have to tie the plant so it grows sideways ??? suggestions?

You could top the plant or use LST (Low Stress Training)

Well some very bad news. I went to my spot today where i had two plants and there whole ground was razed. Its my fault really i shoulda planted them deeper into the woods. The fucked up thing is im sure they knew it was weed cause there were slug pellets and i left a pot or two when i transplanted them like an idiot.

On the other hand i am doing Low stress training for the plant behind the shed in the house that will be rented 22 of june. Im just gonna water it well the day before i hand over the keys and just hope for the best. Il be going abroad for three weeks and anyways there wont be any access to it til harvest time so i hope for some rain and sun but thats just being optimistic.

The fourth plant (or shall i say second since i only have two now) isnt growing as rapidly and has been plagued by pests but its alive and its growing i jsut watered it today. This plant is in a very safe position, no way can they enter with fucking lawnmowers there. shitload of fallen logs and blackberry bushes. Heck even i have a hard time getting to it. Im going back tomorrow to give it some plant food to boost it. The poor thing never got any plant food and i didnt even plant it in compost, just straight into the ground. fuck it its my first time and i guess this is a learning experience. Pics of the two plants coming as soon as my phone finishes charging.

I HATE THE COUNCIL THOSE MOTHER$*%*&$

My Second plant is very stretched because when it was young direct sunlight would reach it for long but now it gets long hours of direct light:

http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff55/ra...19062008003.jpg

ANd do you think it will live or is it too early to tell
vlakarmis
well im off to america for three weeks. cu guys later. hope plants live is all i can say
vlakarmis
Well guys its been a long long time. Well out of four plants, three died but i managed to harvest one. Luckily it survived without any care or attention for three months due to good amounts of rain and sunshine during the British summer. I now have around 300 gram of bud, but have no idea what to do now?? how do i dry it?
Razzmatazz
First up well done mate three hundred grams wet should give you about 80-100grams dry if i'm not mistaken maybe less i know there is a percentage of how much water they lose, hint for the future never weigh the buds wet you only disappoint yerself.

Anyways there are many wrong ways to dry but the best has to be in a very dark room (Light kills your precious THC Glands) with low air exchange or a cupboard, if you gonna dry in a cupboard i'd suggest getting 2 small silica bags (The ones that come in your shoe boxes that say do not eat) and put them there just to get rid of any excess moisture, do not put too many or else you will dry the buds too quick, these help when it comes to mould getting stuck in. Ok then either get some string or coat hangers and hang the buds upside down and wait about two weeks depending on bud size, buds are dry when a fairly large stem can be snapped easily, then if you want to stick em in some glass mason jars and cure for another month making sure to open the jar daily for a bit just to get any residual moisture out.!!!

And FInally ENJOY!!!!!

A true masterclass. thanks bud as your post filled a few gaps in my knowledge. I was planning to install a small PC fan to my hand made drying cabinet and having them on for 3-4 hours a day. Mite also get one of those BnQ de-humidifiers to chuck in the drying cabinet aswel. what happens if the buds dry too quick and will my measures push them to dry too quick?

You really ought to trim all those leaves and scruffy bits off. You just want the buds.
vlakarmis
Well having left the colas in a box for around 3 days, in dark closet it seems the Cinnamon skunk is ready to sample. I smoked a spliff this morning and got a nice high. Unlike the skunk ive been buying, this doesnt give me too much of a stone after two hours of smoking it, so you dont get that drained feeling, you can still be active and high.

Apparently my strain was a cross breed between Jack Herer and Afghan simply called Cinnamon. Nothing cinnamoni about it, just that it smells a mile away!.
starway
it will get stronger when its properly dry.
nice harvest
and yeah maybe trim some more
