i use a diamond reflector and notice in the summer i get a slight bleaching effect on some of the canopy leaves. i have the lamp at maximum height during this time with an extra oscillating fan.
this summer i am thinking of trying a Heat Shield to disperse the heat from the 600w more evenly.
Anyone here used a heat shield? and what did you think of it?

cheers people.

Heat shields do work at the expense of a slight loss of light in the central part of the beam, they do help absorb a lot of the radiant heat from the lamps - they'd work even better with a dedicated small fan, like a PC one cooling it too. thumbsup.gif

thanks scribble,
i think i will go for a shield and a 5in fan. those 600w dont half push a bit of heat out compared to a 400w. especially in a confined space.

Any update? How is it working for you?
