maybe your plants wearnt stressed in the first place unsure.gif
skinny d
OK, let me clear up some confusion tongue.gif

Superthrive definitely works, when your plants are stressed. It brings them back from very sad states.

However, I have definitely NOT noticed a difference in growth.

Also, something important I have noticed is it does NOT (at least in my case) stop the unfortunate occurance of the plant turning hermie due to heat stress.

Basically, use it to keep your plants stress level down if you want, but it really doesn't make a difference unless your plants went through some kind of trauma (ei: snapped stems, mangled by a pet cat).

I totally differ on this one.

I have noticed a difference on this crop using superthrive wether you say it works or not. There is NO doubt in my mind that the difference is down to ST, as this is the first time I have used it.

Yes it is for stressed plants, I can assure that my plants were never stressed in the first place. they had plenty of TLC and very little transportation.

The reccommendation with superthrive is that if you transport plants... then use this to get the stress out etc. however the plants i have at the moment ive been adding a few drops daily and they are the healthiest meaniest looking f**ckers i have grown(also absolutely beautiful....). I have got a couple of plants on the side without the ST and they just dont look as perked up at all.

Im going to sing the stuffs praises. So far im gonna continue using right through this crop to see the end result......

no doubt ill post back at christmas with the final score.

I say it makes a difference.. stessed or not!

I posted this elsewhere on this site.

We did a lot of tests with superthrive a few years back. What I can tell you is that it doesn't seem to do any harm. Tests like 500 seeds soaked in superthrive against 500 soaked in pure water. Or a hundred cuttings transferred then watered in with super thrive and a hundred with just water.

We did all sorts of of tests like allowing plants to dry to wilting several times over a grow, half supplemented and half with just normal feed and water.

Any difference? Well not between the plants or the seeds, neither germinated better or transferred better or did any better in later life.

Where there was a big difference was that one cost money for zero results.

Of supplements that we did find that helped were maxicrop, nitrozyme and sm3. All of these are extract from the same type of seaweed and found little difference between them, but all helped especially when misted over stressed plants. It also brought on newly germinated plants and cuttings more quickly. The treated plants were a little sturdier and generally more healthy all round. We concluded its use in the early stages gave plants a better start and final yields were up 5 to 7% against the untreated side.

We found supplementing with seaweed extract once the plants were established made little difference as long as they were fed well.

To make any tests you need side by side 50/50% samples running concurrently with measurable results at the end. It is totally subjective to say my plants are doing better this time, it means nothing and just adds to the myths and magic of gardening.

As a note nitrozyme costs more for a litre than 10 litres of maxicrop, another example of the people who supply cannabis growers with products at vast profit.

Tip: “Don’t believe the snake oil seller”.
skinny d
in my opinion as ot1 says, i would just buy some maxicrop or another liquid seaweed extract of the kind. it's cheaper and i have actually noticed differences with this stuff.
clash city rocker
cant argue with that scientific test.

still ...

i swear by it! smoke.gif

its giving me results so im not changing my habit !! (for now )
skinny d
well, even though i don't think it really does anything, i still use it every watering. hehe.
JollyGoodSmoke
nice read OT1

Well there we have it, it doe's shmuck smile.gif

i can't grumble about the price though, 1 drop to a gallon unsure.gif

if it worked then it'll be well good wink.gif

if anyone wants a Bottle then PM me, the bottles nearly empty, i've used 5 drops lol.gif
