Hi everybody ,
I'm looking at setting up a little grow cabinet to veg plants using 80 or 90 watts of cfl's. There are three bulbs which i am in the process of wiring up individually. I have 2 core wire to do this with. I need to know if its ok to wire this to a three prong plug . The ampage on the wire is 6 amps so i presume that i need to replace the 13 amp fuse in the plug to a 6 amper to use. Are three prong plugs ok to use with two core wire ? ... and if they are is it ok to replace the fuse with a 6 amp one in this case ?

2-core will be fine, and a 3 Amp fuse will be fine also to use in the plug. thumbsup.gif

Presumably you're wiring them up in parallel, and you already know how to do that - cool. wink1.gif

I don't know if that will work, but if not try copy and paste. hope it helps.

I used 3 core wire, thats the only difference it will be wired the same just with no earth cable.
