Hi everyone, in preperation for my first grow at the end of the year when I move I have decided to construct a list of equipment that will be needed, bearing in mind this is my first grow so I have nothing at all yet, I will either be doing a diy grobdrobe or converting a whole bedroom just depends on the situation because I will be renting. Here is my list.

I'll buy the security items bit by bit when I move, but the total of the grow comes to £456.65, does this sound like a reasonable figure? These prices are from an online shop but I'll be buying locally so prices will vary, this was just to give me a ballpark figure to look at, Is there anything obvious I have missed out?

A 400 is too much for that space to start with mate

A 250 would be much better

A residual Circut Breaker mate. Like you'd use with a lawnmower in case you accidentally cut the power cable, stops you electrocuting yourself.

I run the lights and the fans through the same RCB so if either the ballast or the fan develops a fault, then both will shut down instantly.

Tinfoil Helmet? Well... maybe you won't need one...

Hi just out of curiosity what kind of yield could I be looking at with this setup? I know there's no way to tell exactle but just a ballpark figure, like what you or someone else with a similar setup has achieved before.

I was hoping to maybe achieve 20oz, looks like I was being a tad optimistic

Maybe I would be better off getting an extra large budbox.

Think I'll go with the budbox then, do you reckon 20oz would be achievable in that? The dimensions are (240cm x 120cm x 200cm), thats the xxl one.

Most of the drobes I've seen seem pretty small imo, for the price of a larger one it's not too far off the cost of the budbox, pretty good considering it comes partially ready for you to grow in.

yer tis probably acheivable in a xxl budbox, you'll need two 400's to light it possibly 600's and much bigger fans for the summer.

As a rule of thumb a very good grower will get about a gram per watt of light, thats yer yardstick to aim for but you probably won't reach that in soil on a first grow.

But then hopefully you'll surprise us, if you get 20oz we'll all be wanting cuts of your superplant.

20oz is achievable from a 600 light, but you could use 2 400's for a better spread. If you grew really well then 6 oz would be possible from the cupboard, maybe more depending on grower/environment and strain.

20 oz would be possible from the smaller tent... 120X120 i think Perfect for a 600w with a prabolic reflector

Cool thanks main reason I would like (love) to get 20oz is that would give me about 1.6 oz a week if I could manage to do it on a 3month rotation, I don't smoke that much a week personally , but I share most of my smoke with my gf and at the weekend we smoke like theres no tomorrow! So can easy get through an ounce a week.

I've got to say this is definately the best british grow forum I've come across, signed up a while ago but completely forgot about it. /brown nosing
