Alright Sheriff, I've never come accross anything like this before it's as if the shade is creating massive hotspots?? just a guess, like yaself tho. Just out of interest what shade is it?

That first pic certainly does look like lightburn, not sure about the second. But 3 feet should be easily enough, what shade is it?

I've never used a parabolic before soz (mainly cos i've read they aren't as effective as a horizontal one). I'd definately swap it back over. I use a maxibright (coolstar, i think) anyhow it's the smaller one they do and is extremely effective. light is currently 12" from babies and haven't seen any probs as yet. Anyhow best of luck in whatever you do CPR

does look like light burn smile.gif

this can also happen when water is splashed on the leaves (when the light is on).

yours just looks like hot spots though

Thanks for reply lads , one thing has just hit me in the face here from the pic of the shade am i being dumb here but the real shiny side bit looks to be on the outer side ? ie the dull matt alloy looking side is the side/s that reflect the light ? If thats the case i fink i got it tuther way round . whistling.gif
