Hi Peeps
I grow in a cupboard, very busy area, lot's of friends in and out,
at the moment I have a plastic curtain I roll down, tuck the edges into the door stopper and close the double doors.
this isn't working great, and light is beginning to seep out the edges.

I would like a Black Out Curtain tight connected to the frame all round, and with a zipped door,
zip-up the door when your finished, close the double doors and lock and the world in in deed a nicer place cool.gif

Only I have no Idea where I can effectively get a sheet (light tight) with a door zipper,
I would imagine I will have to make this up to my size, but any Idea where I can get >>>>>(1)Material (2)A huge Zipper,
and how do I connect this to the plastic (light tight) sheeting

what about using velcro on the sheet as would be easier to attach than a zipper??

Hi Growndomes,
Have tried the Velcro and the hook and the sticky bit is great but the light penetrates the Velcro so theres a Halo effect.

Yup - some large sheets of the good quality thick black&white sheeting held in place with good-quality Velcro strips and a couple of wooden bats would serve your purpose, I reckon. thumbsup.gif

eČa: If you place the Velcro solidly on the edges of the B&W sheeting, it will let no light through - I don't know how you had the Velcro before, but it doesn't sound quite right. unsure.gif

if you put the velcro on the wrong side of the plastic sheet then you would have to fold the sheet around the other one to seal the velcro so no light could sneak out. does that make sense to you? it does in my head wink.gif

Guys I tried the velcro I stuck one part to the frame right round the door, I then stuck the other part to the sheeting, where the 2 velcro ie the hook and eye meet, it lights up, it was like a halo,

Look at the price!!!! Use pond liner and sew a zip on if you want a zip that badly. If not then just use velcro like suggested on here. I use velcro on my door and it works fine
