Hey all, finally decided to get my arse into gear and start a grow, was originally gonna be indoors but my mate bitched out of at the last second (cant grow at mine as living back with folks atm), I already had the seeds germinating at the time so I decided I will plant them outside instead of throwing them out, theyve been on my windowsill for about a week now, heres a pic;
Click to view attachmentthe seeds are lowryder 2 fems, i went for these for obvious reasons, quick, small and (supposedly) easy to grow, dont know whats wrong with the one in the middle, i dropped one on the floor when transferring from paper towels to jiffy pellets so it maybe coz of that but im not sure which one i dropped, either way if it doesnt pick within a week i will throw it out
i was gonna plant them out either this or next weekend but by the sounds and looks of things im gonna keep em on my windowsill for at least another two weeks, also the fact that i havent found a decent plot yet is a factor
gonna go out tomorrow and make real effort to find some plots (weather permitting of course), anyway i'll keep this thread updated with pics and stuff, wish me luck!

I would wait until they are atleast 9 inches + tall before planting them out as if you plant them out when they are to small they they could easily end up as animal feed.
Also when they are bigger they will have more strength and be able to take more punishment from the weather etc. When you do plant them out you will probably have to protect them from animals with some chicken wire around each plant or something similar.
I would also wait until after the 15th of May before planting them out as this way you are almost guaranteed to miss all of the frost and cold spells plus it gives the weather chance to warm up better.
Good Luck with them.

I paid £35 for 5 LR2 fems, yield is supposed to bhe around 2oz per plant, dont know hat the smoke is like as never had it before, on the packet it says "from seed to harvest in 9 weeks", dont know how much truth is in that tho, anyway heres a few more pics:

I believe the lowryder 1 is 1oz per plant, lowryder 2 has improved yields, up to 2oz

heres a few more pics before i plant into final pots tomorrow;
Click to view attachment Click to view attachmenti have decided now that they will be going into pots in my mates back garden instead of planting them outside in some random location, hoping that no-one finds them
they look a bit yellow i know, hoping that will change when they go into the all mix
also as you can see the little one that looked like it was gonna die has certainly picked itself up
i'll post back with more pics soon!

the spot doesn't have to be random. and if you're smart, no one will find them. looking good! best of luck, can't wait to see what you have in a month.

ill add my info 2, i grew out lowryders last year, not the lowryder 2's, just the original. aparently they have absolutely massive root structures, the same size as a normal sixed plant, so give them as much root space as possible for maximum yield. i gave mine bugger all root space, which i thought would be sufficient for the size of the plant, and probably got about 4 grams off each plant!
hope that helps.

also the yellowing on the bottom right still hasnt gone away

I'd say they still have a few weeks left to grow so who knows, they could bud loads out all of a sudden

Well I hope they do! Good luck.

From what iv seen on here the buds should take another 2 to 3 weeks before there finished. Dont worry they will fatten up in that time.
good luck.

this weeks update, unfortunately we lost one due to a snapped stem from all the wind and shite weather recently, but still managed to salvage a few splifffs from it, the rest look like theyve taken a battering too....

I never needed to stake my Lows, i found they grew increadibly thick stems, very sturdy. However, I do tend not to tie plants unless absolutely necessary, I just let em build strength. Like agito says, shake the stems when they're little...

chopped today! heres a quick pic before the chop;
Click to view attachmentheres a pic of the crop;
Click to view attachmentsmells really nice and fruity!
the crop weighs just over 4oz, so me and my buddy will prob end up with under an oz each when its dried out
oh well not bad i suppose from 3 plants, (1 snapped a few weeks back, the one with the yellowing probs produced virtually no bud), better than giving the money to some street dealer for some shitty grit weed thats for sure!
also have a bag full of trim which i hope to get a few grams of hash from
anyway this grow is officially over, thanks to everyone who looked in!
