oh and i guess i better tell what strains going in this mammoth!
its fem white widow from greenhouse
never used them before, heard mixed reps but 25 knicker for ten fem beans is good enough to have a go with in my book
grew magus motavation before- great starin
serious kali mist few times
and dutch passion white widow, all great smokes but quite pricey beans
the white widow from dp was a real learning curve i lost 9 outta ten beans for £85 ouchh!
this grows gonna be another learning curve i used to have a home box wit a 250hps, had to size down tho
jealousas fuck of these dudes wit 1000w+ grows tho!

please dont think of me as rude!
i scrapped that ol shite heap a few months back and have been fixing up the gaff. torturing me not growing at the mo, but i have got a new sweet setup
its basically two huge tupperware boxes out of ikea, with that 150w envirolite in it and the 100mm fan,
i'm still going for an hdsog once i crack some beans
still have my fem greenhouse white widow so that'll be cool
anyhow i'll get posting some pics

here it is its based on a box set up by 'lifeless' who manages about 4 oz dry with 4 x 42w cfls
i'll have to paint the inside of it yet mind you, but whattya think?

Jul 21 2008, 03:03 PM
oopsi! thats a bit sideways innit?!
rusty shackleford
Jul 21 2008, 03:05 PM
this should be a bit clearer
rusty shackleford
Jul 21 2008, 07:25 PM
i should be able to fit around25-30 clones in here, and yes yes that sounds crowded but i think that 100mm fan will be more than enough ventilation for them
as ive said before this will be a sog, i will have another box like this set up with a blue enviro for me clones and mother
plants should have around 50-65 cm of growth before hitting the light and this is from the top of the pots
i'm gonna use 500ml drinks bottles for the clones- bring on the root system argument! Regardless i'm going to try it!

Mad little cab you got yourself there. Hope it does all work ok.
I use just one of those, but it's not see thro, as my veg cab with 5 fluoro strip lights, and a pc fan. Works a treat for me.
Good luck

Rusty, did you ever get this going? am i right in thinking you were going to do a high density SOG?
I'm about ready to do one myself, but bugger enviros.
I just got hold of 4x30w spiral cfls for my 40x30x100cm cab, 2050lm each. These I got from a local shop but there are places on the net to get them. I have a few other assorted bulbs to add if this isnt enough. Many points of light is said to be better than one, and enviros strike me as not being very good anyway. I have a very small seperate veg cab with 2x25w 6500k daylight spirals for mine..
Dunno whether there's knowledge on this but i've been looking at the standard U tube CFLs and it occurs to me that there is no way of positioning them without 2 of the 3 tubes pointing upwards. Yeah they'll reflect but it ain't ideal. Spirals look better to me, even though they're harder to find.
HD SOG is the way forward for us personal supply growers. I'm starting with CFLs - cheaper for a noob like me.. but i am wanting to experiment once it is rolling to try and minimise power use, which is why I chose the method in the first place.
Hope you got something going mate, would be a shame to not have any after your work. My own project has had fits and starts since inception. It has taken me 4 cab designs to get something I think will work. Hope you didn't give up. If you didn't, don't and good on ya.
If you did, SHAME ON YOU

get it sorted
