Nice fish there matey yahoo.gif

I am no sea angler but I have watched plenty of it on Discovery Realtime, mostly Henery Gilbey and I have to say that along with wrasse bass are the nicest looking sea fish that are caught around the english coast line.

Whats the crack with sea fish these days, is it mostly catch and release, it certainly looks that way from what I have seen on the telly, Henery Gilbey always says the best thing about catching his fish is returning them back and watching them swim off. I have also seen Matt Hayes and Mick Brown returning big conger eels in one of their programmes

I went out on a few charter boat trips many years ago and everything that was caught was killed, it seemed a bit of a waste to me, fair enough take a few fish home for the table but we ended with dustbin bags full of fish, the fish were not even knocked on the head, they were just thrown into big plastic containers and left to sufforcate, in the end thats one of the reasons I stopped going out on the charter boats.

I did enjoy going out on the boats though and if they do mostly practice catch and release these days I would certainly be up for trying it again some time in the future thumbsup.gif
