Leprechan Sweet Leaf
I've got a couple of lot#5 plants that I have been pruning and keeping in small pots (5 inch) for a while.
They are about 12-13 inchs high (from top of soil), but they have thick stems and developed root systems from pruning above and below.

The reason I waited to flower them is I finally have a halide light to mix with the hps and hope to do these sats some justice. Any adice on mixing the spectrums also appriciated. They are loving the halide now and are on 18 hours of light.

My main question is if I flower the mums will that give me problems with height or am I better of taking cuttings?

Any one whos grown it pls reply.

Lot of views but no replies. So nobody has flowered off a motherplant of lot#5?
Bish
lol.gif It's entirely up to you want you want to do with them mate. You know how much she stretches when put into flower.

How would I know Bish? Ive never flowered a lot#5 before. unsure.gif

I saw pics of bart and laz I think and they were verrry stretchy. kinda offputting as it looks like they would go through my ceiling.

What's your total growing headroom? Expect Lot#5 to treble in height from size flowered.

If you've seen & read the threads you'll know how much she stretches, no?

hi
yep mine did go 3 times the hight ,started 2 foot odd ended at 6 ish unsure.gif
iv just started some more at 14 inches smile.gif and im bending them now (started doing it on first day 12/12)
so im looking for 3 and a half at end of stretch (max)
just be prepared for it smile.gif i wasnt first time rofl.gif

edit iv only done them from cuts
Muppet
About to flower off me Lot#5 mums too (and take cuts to mum back up....) as they've become quite a mess due to constant abuse/neglect, and i'm sure they're just gonna go mad! Lot#5 stretches shit loads and throws out branches left, right and centre, but they are very week branches, no hope of them holding themselves up soo.....

....i'm gonna SCROG them, think they'll like that, i'm hoping it'll be ideal for them and hopefully good for their yeild too......

Muppet they work well with scrog.

Leprechan Sweet Leaf, pot into a final size pot, give a few days [3 or 4] to start rooting out, then put into 12/12.

The lignified trunk will limit growth to some extent as will the small size of the mums along with the multiple heads.

Do take a few cuts before flowering, because I think you would regret not having backups once you have smoked lot#5, I have not come across anyone who does not like the smoke.

Hi smile.gif
I'm currently 2 weeks into flowering a lot#5 mom (have 4 cuttings from her and another bonsai mom smile.gif )
I trimmed her right back about 2 weeks before flowering, and she is stretching, but after the first lot#5 flowering, i think i've allowed for the stretch. ( famous last words)
I find lot#5 a very beautiful plant, and hope to never again be without her.
Thanks OT1 smile.gif and hope you have a great result mr sweetleaf smile.gif

I am flowering off 3 different Lot#5 pheno mums at the moment...

I would agree - the stretch is much reduced -maybe only 100-150 % -

due to the multiple heads presumably ...

Definitely keep cuttings - we are keeping 2 pheno's long term - both of which are head and shoulders above anything else I've smoked in a hell of a long time!!
