hi all, please can any one help cry.gif i'v just watered my baby's an there were little white creepy crawly's in excess water, in the outer pot's that the main pot's are in, i normly take the pot's with the plant's in out of the outer pot's about an hour after watering to catch the excess water, an to let air get to root's, but forgot to take them out the last time i watered, 2 day's ago, can someone tell what they are an are they a big problem? an how to get rid if need be, thank's for reading, notworthy.gif any help or comment's welcome, i'm in a bit of a panic now spliff.gif

Oh and cut down on watering frequency, like give them loads once a week not everyday! cool.gif

thank's chap's, i water ever 48 hour's or so, if i leave it much longer they start to wilt, they are 7 an half week's from seed an gone on 12-12, i give about 1.5l each ish, doe's gnat off go in when watering or sprayed on? again thank's

Not good advice really mate

When growing in compost you water when required and cutting down on watering wont help with the springtails

Letting a plants rootball dry will do more damage than the springtails themselves

To help reduce numbers catch the run off and throw away cos every time you water it will flush more from the roots

Ive had them a lot and theyve never seemed to do much damage
