Hi,

I have a NepJam F2 pheno which is under a month old and is still vegging. It most definitely smells of coffee - I've never heard of plants having a coffee whiff before - has anyone else experienced this?

It's a lovely smell, but I'm not sure how a coffee flavored smoke would go (assuming the taste matches the smell).

I had that with NL in veg Davey, dont worry it soon turns fruity when you flower.

Thats really not too crazy Davey as there are strains that have a definite coffee smell although I've not come across it growing out my NepJam F2's.

I got a incense type smell on most of mine which is the recognised terpene aroma for the F1 generation.

The coffee one I have gets unbelievably stinky, the smell changes but not fruity at all.

Ahh! Dr Benways I am most glad to see this pheno has already been found elsewhere. This is currently my main contender for cloning for a scrog as it seems to branch a lot more than my other two plants. How did you find this pheno?

I've just been thinking about how I first heard of bud tasting of blueberry, all those years ago and being completely smitten with the concept. I think for my next grow I want to choose something with an interesting taste and smell, something to intrigue and tantilise all the major senses.

Yeah mate very interesting and delicious savoury type smells, mine had a very yeasty smell at the end and when drying, I haven't seen anyone else mention that though..
It was the branchy pheno too and would have scrogged well I think. I took that one 12 weeks, not as powerful as the other pheno but still a quality smoke.

My GWS i have here stinks of coffee when i chop 'em down... like percolated nice coffee, lovely :}

How did your Nep Jam f2 finish? Some Nepalese Jam could smell a little bit like coffee, but it's not the deep indica coffee aroma, more like earthy/coffee aroma with sativa touches.
