Hi Guys -

I need help choosing a 1000 watt mh bulb (sinmaster, eye hortilux, agrosun, etc)...

who's mh bulb is better, i heard sunmasters CDX bulb is pretty good...


Also, had a question regarding 1000 watt mh for veg.... I own a 216 watt new wave fixture (20000 lumens, 6500k T5's) 4 bulbs, and a 1000 watt hps system (getting conversion bulb for this), i also currenly own the eye hortilux super hps bulb for flowering...

My question is, when can i start using this 1000 watt mh bulb for my plants, and how far away the reflector should be (glass lens, air cooled)???
I have 4.5 sq. inch seedling pots, and then get rasnsplanted into 12 liter grodan maxi pots (3.1 gallon capacity)

I dont have enough money at the moment to purchase a seperatre ballst system just for vegging, good idea, however funds are low...

Have no real input to give on this as I have no experance with these bulbs but I'm sure I read that the Eye Hortilux one's are the best. Get the most light from them.

I'm sure someone else will be far better informed on this subject and drop in and post.
