Hello UK420, have found this site a real knowledge library on cannabis cultivation, and have been inspired to start myself, been smoking it for a few years, enjoy it, but like most people find, dealer weed is of poor quality most times, and who knows what they do with it before you get it, this is why ive decided to grow myself, ive just started so dont expect an amazing pic (just yet), but i will be loitering around here for those extras tips and advice. smile.gif seems like a great website

P.S. REBIRTH's Hindu Kush Grow Diary, Huge Huge help for me. Cloberts Diary aswell, answered a number of questions for me smile.gif

Keep up the good stuff guys!:) spliff.gif

Hi estpaul mate, welcome to the site.

Did the seeds germinate all right and the roots were cracked out the shell before planting yeah? They should pop through the surface within a few days mate. Just keep them nice and moist but not soaking. Were they in a propogator and in what medium?

Fire away with questions mate as there's always somebody about willing to answer, but the more information you can give at the time will give you a better chance of getting the right answers straight away. wink1.gif Good pictures generally speak a thousand words aswell if you can post any up with Q's. thumbsup.gif

Good luck with the grow mate and I hope you enjoy the site. Tis a top community.

Im new to this, so i dont know what i can do wrong, but i did do some research before all of this.

well i germinated 5 nirvana hindu kush from the local shop in tissue paper for 2 days, then they weren't cracked so i put them into water to soak, 3 of them cracked, so i planted them into soil, mix of westlands john innes compost 70%, 30% perlite. gave the other 2 a day in the water, and they still didnt crack so i just planted them anyway. i sealed sandwich bags over them and gave them all names: Donna, Rachel, Keely, Julia and Lucy. The kit i bought came with a 150W lighting system, not sure what sort of bulb it is( takes a little while to warm up, then goes bright yellow) but i felt that they were too hot( the space i have is very small and i dont have an extractor yet, just a clip fan, plus the hygrometer i ordered off the net hasnt arrived yet) to put in there so i took the Small flourecent bulb (20W) from the living room rofl.gif and put that there instead. i planted them 3 days ago this morning, and im not seeing signs of productivity, should i chuck them in the bin? or should i wait?

hi mate . looks like youve got the light a little close. try raising it by 5-10 inches, make sure the soil is wet and give em another couple of days.
good luck. spliff.gif

yeah i moved them close on purpose because its only a cheap 20 Watt CFL bulb, its actually from morrisons tongue.gif i moved em close because i was afraid the plant wouldnt get enough warmth.

ok mate. try investing in a 4-600 watt hps light b4 you flower but for seedlings it shouldnt matter.

The thing is i already have a 150 W lighting kit, which is more than enough for me, but i changed the bulb to the weaker one, until sprouts come up, then i will change the bulbs back.

and i need a 400-600 watt system if im growing 9 plants, i only plan on growing 2 females, 5 at the beggining to sort out 2 females from the bunch.

Hey mate, do it as big or as small as you like or can, its all good. The bigger lights (600) are more efficient but as long as your plants are getting enough light dont worry. Its not the amount of plants tho its the area your lighting, have a look in the growroom design section to see if your covered.
good luck man
