Hi people in a few days I will be starting my first grow im using afghan seeds and was just wondering if anybody had also grown this strain and have any tips/storys/yield amount etc anything. I will be starting with 10 seeds so hope I dont get many males 5 nice females and I will be happy with that I will be using soil not sure what type yet (any tips) and a 400 watt mh for vegging then a 400 watt sodium for flowering so feel free to to share your thoughts tips and stories

Hi Paul - I just popped 4 Pure Afghans from DNA Genetics - stuck them straight in biobizz allmix - sprouted up in 2 days and I only have to add water till flowering. Not everyone would recommend it though (the allmix) and it's a bit more expensive than most other soils, but it hasn't let me down yet. The afghans are still quite tiny (just starting on their first set of proper leaves), but in about 14 weeks (6 veg + 8 flower) I expect to be totally monged. Here's hoping eh? Good luck with your own grow.

yeah thanks for the info i will keep an eye on how you are going maybe need some advice somtime, well ive hit a wall ordered my 400 watt mh lights 3 weeks ago on ebay still waiting will phone tomorrow to see whats happening suks but by the power off the weed gods they will come this week so I can get started speak to u soon.

just ordinary afghan no mixes i thought afghani was a good choice as it doesnt grow to high and is a tough plant i hear

Hi there vpaulv, They say it's a good choice for a 1st time grower as I was last grow and1st time on the forum so check out my post !! You should find it interesting.hehe. I think my seeds may have been an amatuer hack so had a lot of variable phenotypes and inconsistencies especially in flower. Learned a hell of alot in this grow though with the help of a lot of good people on this site I wasn't to happy with the end product. Here's hoping you have better luck then I had as far as smokability and potency.Showgirl
