im no expert but if it was me id replace that, if my hps go like that i change the bulb and its supriseing how much brighter a new bulb is
i useully do 2 full grows and a few weeks veg with son-T but 1 ful grow if using a grolux or similar (they burn brighter but dont last as long )
does also depend on what your growing ie sativas the bulb might get 20 weeks use or like me with indicas about12-14 weeks per grow
hope this helps bud
I got a seperate 400 MH for vegging and a 1000 HPS for flowering. This was a deal I came across in hopes of using this fixture for a ScrOG grow seperate from my current setup. Now that I have it I don't know if it's worth using this bulb for flowering my ScrOG, or getting a seperate HPS system, like a 600 Watter, to flower my ScrOG grow.
I have all kinds of varieties under my lamps, thing is I only really use top of the line bulbs. I'm a little nervous putting a mystery bulb over my children.
I think you are right Twenny, th MH bulb seems a little beat up. The conversion bulb is still good though, does anyone know if they are as efficient as a true HPS bulb and fixture? They don't pump as many lumens as the standard bulbs in HPS systems do, but that doesn't always matter if the spectrum is right where it needs to be to flower. Any help is appreciated.
