Oldtimes, exclusive to UK420
A bit about Oldtimes, firstly it is very old school, it was bred from esb, its not esb but it has a lot of similar characteristics, I think Oldtimes is nicer, it has a very up type of high but has a little more of a body type stone than any of the lot#, I find the smell a little pungent but less so than the original esb. Flowering for Oldtimes is just over 7.5 to 9.5 weeks, stretch from 12/12 is about 3 times.
The majority are columnar in form with little branching, so they are ideal for sog, if you have ever heard of the term elephant hands, these have the trait with huge sunleaves up to 17 inches across and the middle leaf up to a ft long when its well grown.
The colas have a very high bud to leaf ratio making manicuring a dream, the buds are dense and resin laden.
While Oldtimes grows tall it is very easy to grow if you have the height in your room for it, it expresses good hybrid vigour, finding a keeper should be easy.
As a warning esb used to throw the odd hermy and are trigger happy when it comes to stress, I’ve not had any reports of hermies with oldtimes from test growers.
I think these will suit someone looking for an old school sativa dominant indica hybrid for their collection.

I ask because I have a vague(whats new!)memory of you saying ESB was not very good compared to ES which I did read was Joolz all time favourite

Sounds very interesting indeed OT, I'd really like to get to grips with something like this rather than some of the more inbred and narcotic dutch hybrids and fifty notes is a steal

What more could you ask for? I've been growing an ESB for the past couple of crops which OT1 doesn't think is a very good representation of the ESB he originally bred for, even though it is a clone kept going from the original crosses (the person who selected that particular plant didn't do the best job/know the strain they were selecting for). This Oldtimes cross is both a better representation and an improvement on the ESB, which I already see as a cracking strain. Plus I bet that the Oldtimes makes the best BHO from the trim (plus the best bubble, dry sift and jelly hashes). ESB, Lot#5 and another of OT1's crosses I have grown, make the best BHO's I have ever made, so I don't see the Oldtimes being any different; making such clear, pale, soaring oils like my avatar. Oils the likes of which I have only ever been able to make from OT1's crosses, and I've got it from every one of his crosses that I have tried to date. It really is a distinctive type of Butane Honey Oil; OTBHO, a lot clearer than regular BHO.

Doc yes this one has es in it, its not es, I'm working on a more es dominant line, knowing the rate I do things it will be a year or two before I think they are ready.Was it not a hybrid of your ES and Blueberry?

JB I had two indica dom resin producers out for testing, one failed, due to it producing hermies, the other looks good I'm waiting for smoke tests now. If it turns out like I think I'l be able to put out a small batch this summer.
I don't think you will be disappointed with oldtimes, it produces a lot of resin, I've not made hash with it on its own, but I think it would be very good, it does not make a lot of trim but the small cola leaves are full of trichomes.
To all:- Sorry I have not been around to answer any Q's, I am away from home most of the time until mid june, I only posted this topic about the release, because I was at Joolz briefly to drop off the seeds, I'm back now until thursday morning. Then I will be off again..

The good, is its not couchlock, everyone that has smoked the bud says it puts a big old smile on their face every time they have a puff of it. I think this cross has a really nicely balanced and quite complex high. One tester said he thought I ought to call it prozac from a seed, as it does what prozac ought to do.

Sounds interesting OT - Could you give a little more info on why the yield is low? i.e. small buds, open bud structure, high leaf to calyx ratio, reacts badly to topping etc etc...
and what's the taste/smell comparable too?
I'm sure there will be lots of interest in a manageably short plant with a decent sat dom high for us vertically challenged growers

Hi Blab, Felix was the only tester here at uk420, I’m hopeless at explaining stones or smells etc, read what he says under the pic in the link.
No idea how they would do scrog, or topped, all the test growers were sog. If you look back through the gallery to starting from seed you will get an idea of how they grow.

How do you describe potent, they are totally different, lot 5's all are very psychoactive and up high with little or no body, to me its all in the head, oldtimes has body as well as an up high, the up is totally different to lot#5. I think the back crosses next or the year after that will be better but oldtimes is valid in its own right in my humble opinion
As I said before, I am not a breeder, I have selected things I like as keepers over the years, so I suppose I'm more of a collector, every thing I have comes from my tinkering.
I just hope that my cooking pleases other as they do me. All the feedback I have had up to now says they do, I suppose you can't expect to please everyone.
The thing is that I have always made things to please me, so what a strain looked like, bud density, yield have never mattered to me. The only thing that mattered was what it did when I smoked it.
Got to tell you its quite scary having other people growing out my beans and talking about them.

Leroy I'm calling it smile cos that is what it makes everyone do including me, Joolz has the seed, but I have not put it up yet as I'm away for a week so won't be around to field any Q's., so next weekend.

Luckily for me I did have some self regulating white widow which eventually bought me back into a sphere of emotion I felt comfortable in and any hint of smiling or activity left my cursed body.
I would like to know what, as a company you intend on doing about allowing such dangerous drugs to be available to people like me?
