First of all i'm not sure if this is the right part of the forums for this question but i couldn't find an area in the forums that would seem to cover this question.

I live in a top flat of two flats & i'm wondering if people have ways of maksing the smell of weed when cropping & trimming ?, I live in an open stlye flat so the smell gets round all the flat. I 'm hoping there's some way to mask the smell of weed so no-one would know that there was fresh weed in my flat. I use some air freshers at the moment but they don't work very well, I'm hoping there's something particular that completely covers the smell of weed.

Any suggestions ???

Hi ads, i do all my harvesting in my grow tent and also dry it out there as the carbon filter deals with all the odour, are you growing in a small space ??

Iv heard good reviews about Ona Gel so might be worth using that, I used incense the last time when i didn't have a filter, a brand called Nag Champa which lingers for hours and would certainly help.

Ona gel though killes particals in the air hence it eliminates the odour, not sure if it might effect the plants but allot of growers use it, well thoose that often don't have space for a filter.

Best idea mate do it in ur grow room carbon filter will deal with the smell

OK first of all i don't use a carbon filter in my grow room as all my air goes straight from my cool tubes & out of my chimney, I have no problems with the smell of my room. I can't really trim it up in my room as i have 2 vertical systems running at the same time that are at different points in their growing life, I do this so i crop frequently (I can't be bothered to write 5 paragraphs explaining all this fully, but basiclly i can't trim in my room)

I'm only looking for suggestions such as this 'Ona Gel' which can be used outside of the grow room , Any more suggestions like this would be great so i have some options.

well ur still going to need a good clean dark place with decent ventilation to dry it in as for taking the smell away u could try sticking a ioniser (ionizer) not sure of the spelling in the room but dont no how good they are.

Yeah aswell as ioniser's there are ozone generators, Does anyone have any experience with either of these devices ?. are they any good ?

On thing that you can do is to burn some toast, all that carbon floats into the air and pretty much neutralises all the fresh green smell. Dunno how much use that is to you while cropping though. I usually do that after trimming to remove the smell. I usually do my trimming in the dead of night too, that way there are less likely to be people wandering about to smell it. Scented candles help too, as they seem to burn the smell from the air.

I have tried it a few different ways, and have found that confining the smell to one small space helps too and if you can't do it in the grow area then what about the bathroom?

as above , do my trimming at night with a couple of windows open . then burn some toast when finished
