Hi,
I am trying to move a hard drive from a laptop (the screen has broke). I have removed the HD and so on, when i came to connect it to the slave, I found the connectors were different. How would i get around this? Does anyone know the correct names for what i need to buy?

Thank you for reading

Peace.

Just get a external USB caddy that will take a laptop drive, shouldn't cost more than £20. Slip the drive in and plug it into your USB port.

Thank you mate.

i guess it would be wise to take the HD to the shop with me... always the simple solutions that get missed.

If it's SATA HDD then you can check to see if your motherboard and power supply support sata and if they do just plug & play thumbsup.gif

The first one is a SATA connector, and the second one is a picture of a 2.5" laptop-size IDE to normal IDE adaptor.
