bit late in starting this year. planning to start my preps this weekend. i've plenty of sites marked on my magellan thingy and there spread all over yorkshire so hopefully i'll be able to get a decent number in this year. strains this year are:
easy sativa, passion #1, twilight, cream sodica #2, maroc x afghani and the biddys sister are the definites which i allready have in my posession but more may be added in due course. good luck to all the new comers to the outdoor section and i will follow your efforts with interest. yinyang.gif

Yeah finally funki has come out of hibernation spliff.gif stoned.gif lol.gif

Easy sativa sounds yummy for some reason (the name lets it down, ''easy sativa'' sound boring, but the discription is good lol.gif) thinking of growing it myself. alien2.gif

I started preparing a while ago, but will start again this weekend pinch.gif doh.gif as someone decided to flatten the little piece of greenery i used as my site russian.gif lol.gif

Good Luck to you, may this year be most fruitful lol.gif

i started them around a week ago and i have 36 1 inch high seedlings as of today yinyang.gif
iamafunkimunki
i have aquired some regular hash plant seeds from seedsman which are also featuring in my outdoor grows as well as a couple of fem powerplant and masterkush from dp and some reg thai haze/skunk from an unknown breeder that i've had kicking around for a while that are going out also. i'm not expecting great things from these seeds but its well worth a go imo. i have 36 seedlings 21 fems and 15 regular seeds i'm not keeping track of which is which they all got mixed up at some point in the sowing process so every one is going to be a suprise regarding what it turns into and when it can be harvested. i'll be planting out in mid/late april for the 36 i've got going. there will also be 10 seeds of original lowryder to be started soon with a view to being finished june time. naughty.gif

i usually soak over night in a glass of water till they sink. then transfer them to a peice of paper towel and stick round the inside of a glass with and bit of water in so the seeds are visible but trapped between the glass and paper towel. i stick it in a dark cupboard and simply tilt the glass every day to keep the paper moist. leave until a 5/10mm root has emerged then sow root down into my starter pots. i had quite a few fuck ups last yr doing it that way by breaking roots during the sowing so this year i just soaked in water till they all cracked and the first visible signs of roots were showing and then sowed straight away. no casualties and all sprouted.
iamafunkimunki
the first 15 plants have been planted out last weekend and are settling in nicely now. the remaining ones will be going out over the next couple of weeks. again this year i've been too eager, and if they make it i'm gonna have some real monsters come september time. in hind sight it may have been better to leave planting as late as possible to cut down on exposure times. less time outside less chance of being found in theory. but fuck to it i've done it now and i can't go back. i've used a much more random placement method this year. and have planted in 1's and 2's all over the county in spots i've been scouting whilst travelling around to my various places of work. this makes it harder to look after them like i'd prefer but after last yrs fiasco i figured this way would ensure me a better chance of getting in what i want.
Amazing Jeans
What happened last year mate ?
iamafunkimunki
well i only harvested 3 plants from around 20 planted out due to thievery or being discovered in general. if you click the link to my 2007 grow and read thro the last half you'll get the picture mate

Good to hear bout the more random placement, lets hope the thieves dont get them!!

What you doing about rabbit and slug protection this year?

besta luck as always!

I'm a bastard I know but after last year I might have been tempted to plant a couple in last years ripped locations. Then somewhere about September time I'd start spraying 'em with the nastiest, hopefully cancer inducing, shit I could find. Available from the back of yer Dad/Grandads shed, or at carboot sales. Herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, all that good shit, chemicals with names as long as yer arm, spray liberally every week, repeat for as many years as it takes.
Best Wishes for 2008. TMR.

thanks everyone for the comments they are always welcome.
another 5 have been planted last weekend. the remainder will be held back until june to cut down on the time outside maybe lengthening the odds of being found. biggrin.gif
iamafunkimunki
after a brief visit round everything yesterday i found 8 casualtys from the 20 planted. it looks to me to be the frost/snow we had early april that did them in judging by the type of damage and the size of them compared to the survivors . these have since been replaced with the plants i was holding back to make the best of the good weather. i took the liberty of taking around 15 cuttings from my various outdoor plants with a view to planting them out early june. the cuts are rooting happily in a prop on my window sill and should be well rooted within a fortnight. so at the moment i have 20 plants out basking in the sun which are all bedding in nicely. and if all the cuts root which they should i'll have a selection of 35 ish plants which should hopefully provide me with a decent amount this year. yinyang.gif
GH0STWITHTH3M0ST
awesome funki. sorry to hear about the casualties, but it sounds like you have it under control. i can't wait to see pictures of your secret garden lol.gif! good luck with the rest of the grow dude.
iamafunkimunki
went on a trip to do some house keeping at all my plots yesterday and the day before. chopped back the nettles and weeded all the soil. all 22 plants are still alive and starting to come on nicely. i still have another three plants from the cuts i took to plant out but they will have to wait until i return from holiday next week until then they are growing nicely in my attic window. i plan to do a full picture diary after harvest but until then the piccys are staying on my camera. long may the good weather continue is what i say yinyang.gif
puff-puff-pass
cant wait to see some pics of your girls funki!!!
