Hello - has anyone out there grown Johnny Blaze? (i think it is Legends but I could be wrong) I want to grow this organically and am guessing it would be quite a gentle feeder as it looks very sativa - can anyone shed any light on how they got on with this strain? I will also be growing it in a greenhouse and forcing it when it still pretty small (about 8 - 10 inches from cuttings) - I have heard this is a cracking plant and want to do right by her.

Hi jolene,
I've grown Johny Blaze, it stretches quite a bit so may require bending or topping especially in a greenhouse if we have a nice summer. I had two distinct phenotypes one with quite dense small buds and another with airy running buds both were over 2 m when finished (un-trained) and grown in 11 litre pots.
It is a high yielding plant. I don’t remember any specific nutrient issues with it. I would have used BB grow and bloom and probably allmix at the time. As I remember one took around 10 weeks to finish and the other closer to 12.
Do you intend to try and cover them for a few weeks before mid-August(ish) to force them to start flowering early?
I enjoyed both phenos though one was quite a subtle buzz and better suited to daytime. The stronger of the two gave a mild trippy high, you know the sort where you feel your perceptions (slightly) enhanced like someone has opened the curtains on your eyes…
I enjoyed the flavour but it was a bit too musky for some of my friends.

Nice one! Thanks very much that pretty much covers everything - I was going to force flower it continuously from about May onwards (got some seeds growing now and I intend to grow a mother plant (under lights st first then outside) and clone off it all the way through the season) and have a couple of plants just to make seeds from.
2 metres is a serious plant though! I was thinking of flowering from about 6 - 8 inches tall which would hopefully stop them at about 3 - 4 ft maximum. I have 3.5, 6 and 11 litre pots so if you got a 6ft + plant out of an 11 litre then I reckon I could SOG them from cuttings in smaller pots. Cheers for that
