Ok i wanna grow a strain that is as close to how weed was in the 60's and 70's. The smoke will be for someone older who wouldnt touch skunk or anything else crossbred with a barge poll becuase its simply to strong for them.

I hope to grow it near (not in but next to) the pyraneese mountains in the south of france as i know some people who live there, it will be grown outdoors of course!

The first strain that came to mind was afghan no1 by sensi seeds, they claim its 100% indica and all the genetics origante from afghanastan, but would it be like weed from 60's 70's?

Really im looking for a 100% pure indica landrace strain, with no crossbreeding. Is afghan no1 by sensi seeds the nearest i will get?

Are there any other landrace strains available indica or sativa?

What strain is mild enough to be close to 60's 70's weed?

The whole market seems to be flooded with dutch and american crossbreeds, these strains are like twice the strengh of good weed in 60's 70's, theres a massive market out there for people who want milder oldskool types of weed, im suprised a seedbank hasnt set up a range of landrace strains?

Any info anyone has would be a great help

A worthy project impsvi, good luck with it. I have a friend whose parents have a house in south France. They bought it from some old hippies and it came complete with a stabilised plant that was plaguing all the local gardens too. It had clearly naturalised and was self setting yearly. Point being that there may well be local landraces where you intend to grow, and these would, IMO, be worthy of close attention.

I don't think it is stronger TBH. What a lot of them don't like is simply the overpoweing smell/taste; plus I suspect many of my generation are mistrustful of all the hybridising that has gone on. The end product looks so very different. But trust me, it was often out-powered by some of the imports in the '60's and '70s. It is, I think, the rush towards Indica plants that has made some of us relics suspicious. Couch-locking mind benders are so very different from true landrace Sativas.

doesnt make much sense but ok lol.gif what your saying is he doesnt like crossbred strains but pures from the 60's 70's ? but surely you would want a strain based on what it smokes like ,they had shit weed back in the 60's 70's aswell as the good stuff wink1.gif

If you want 60's 70's strains then i very much doubt you will find many at the Dutch seed banks,i mean no offnse to them, but they dont tend to keep strains like pures from the 60's 70's as for the afghan ,yes its been around a while but it also depends on what you want out of the smoke ? if you want heavey then afghani will do
it

now as for gettiing landrace strains well ,hope in hell if your going to a dutch seed bank. Landrace strains tend to be held by private collectors specially the ones from the 60's 70's ,Landrace strains are rare to come across otherwise wink1.gif not saying its impossible but rare . If you mean a IBL pure breeding then thats a little different because they can be got from the dutch companies but again there arent enough of them imho, but they are there.Try the spanish seed companies they do some good stuff, like ACE and Cannabiogen they have some unique good genetics but im not sure how indica they go,they are in the uk420 seedshop.

lol.gif now it sat aswell lol.gif again as i say above yes they are about bu mainly in the hands of private collectors etc as they are very rare and very sort after for breeding projects but not impossible

if you want something frm the 60's 70's then i would recommend ACE OT1 haze but if your man wants indica and doesnt like skunk then he wont want these lol.gif they are pure sat and the genetics come from the 60's 70's strains ...... look in ACE in the seed shop and you will see them ;)thats probably the closest you will get atm from a seed company and ACE and Canabiogen are good wink1.gif

hope this helps a little wink1.gif
