Hi,

I was advised to take the flexipots from my clay balls, and use clay balls only. Which I did, but felt I would need to feed more often with this method, so as I didnt finish till late last night, I was setting the pump timers at 1am last night. I went for 15mins flood every 3hrs, but as it was 1am, and I am not great at that sort of time, I forgot to switch the pump back on at the wall socket.... Guess where this is going.. pinch.gif

So, I open the cupboard at about 8am to see 2 very wilted plants. So, first thing i did was panic! Then after seeing why they had not been fed, switched the pump on, and flooded a few times manually with a shot glass, then repeted an hour later. But this hasnt made a very quick difference. cry.gif

I have now changed to flood to 15mins every hour, to really try to get them fed. The problem is I am new to this, and although I have read up what I can, feed times dont seem to be covered that well. If anyone can point me in the right direction for feeding, I have the PH, EC and nute mix done, its just how often I feed them in this type of sytem in only clay balls.

Here is a pic to see if I am wasting my time, I am also on 24hr veg, should I drop this for now as maybe its too much for the plants when they are already struggling? Please can I get some advise asap

Here you can see them yesterday, this was before I took out the flexipots. Very little root was damaged, I know its due to under watering, but have I got it right at 15min on 45min off to save em?

I'd maybe lower the lighting times to 18 or 20 hours, to give them a chance to rehydrate themselves without having to transpire so much water, and asides from making sure they're well watered (but don't go mad - they can only drink so much, esp. if they've gotten root damage from the drying out - they may take a while to recover) I don't see what else you can really do.

they look really bad mate, is there any way you could raise humidity or possibly finely mist the leaves. thier chances look slim but i wish you all the best buddy.

Cheers, I was thinking that dropping to 18/6 will give them some chill out time. I had already raised the lamp by 2 chain links, so should reduce it a little.

Gonna stick with the 15mins on/45min off on the pump for a few days and see how they go. The one that is wilted more had already wilted yesterday after being repotted, added with a few hours of no water hit him hard. Gonna go change the lamp timer and maybe add some water to the plant leaves a little..

Any more advise is appreciated, and thanks to you both for getting back to me, I was starting to panic and feel all alone in here wink.gif

EDIT - Is now running 18/6 in the hope it will pick back up, but I have 5 more luton cheese plants that I can use if needed, I just wanna learn enough that I dont do it again, or can act faster to resolve it. Its dark now, but will be back on @ 5pm till 11am, so I get the best temps at night with lamp on, and in day with it off, the night temp will drop to about 14C if left so I figure that is best way of doing it.

Its only gonne get 2hrs dark before lamp goes back on, will that be enough till the morning? Anyway wanna start giving odds on my plants hehe sweatdrop.gif sweatdrop.gif

Please can you take a look at my grow diary and post any info that you can offer to help me. I have been spamming I feel like over the last few days getting a snippet of info here and there, but nothing solid that I feel and can build my knowledge on.

Thanks for your time.
