Like the title reads, just wanted to sound out people's opinion on the old WW.... who's is the best, greenhouse, DP, white label etc....?

I bought 10 white widow seeds from nirvana, were terrible, 8 germ'd and 7 were males. wouldn't recomend, im now quite tempted by DP's version of it.

Nirvana has reasons maybe not to be recommended for their WW but that can't be one of them,surely?

i know someone who grew his years stash from nirvana seeds a few different strains he wasnt impressed

Seen a few comments on the Black Widow. This strain has always caught my eye but i have never done a Mr Nice grow, heard good things bout it however...

I know white widow is a Brazilian Indica x South Indian but I want to grow a pure WW if u see what i mean, the best of the lot.

Black widow has the same genetics (i think) but any ideas why its called black and not white..? doubt its a racist thing!

Don't grow greenhouse ww, it's nothing like the origanal imo

you know what they say about nirvana seeds.. they are so cheap, if you are looking for a good mother plant, spent £50 and buy 5 packs of their seeds germ all 50, out of say 25 females you should be able to pick out at least 1 with strong genetics to become your mother plant

I've grown Dutch Passion (fem) and White Label (reg) White Widow.

They were both easy to grow/clone and were good yeilders.

I prefer the high from the white label, not that the dp high is shit cuz its not its just a super "up" high and no matter how much i smoke of it I'm still standing. The WL stuff I grew I could'nt smoke more than a quarter joint at a time.

I grew 3 crops of WLWW and it lasted me 3 years! I'm growing my second crop of DPWW and I've allready smoked all of the first crop (10 ounces)

Just seen some video on YouTube from Greenhouse ( & Arjan)... he claims that he "invented" the strain in 1995.... seems a bit far fetched.

if you have the money how about doing a WW comparison grow from different breeders?, maybe go for a pack of Mr Nice Black Widow + a pack of DP White Widow or Nirvana's?, it would be interesting to see the differences between them , Baz

I think that a comparison WW grow is a good idea. Expensive but good. I think that may be on my 2008 wish list. Think ill do 4 WW's (say 3 of each) - one of them being the black widow.

Arnold, i wasnt doubting you man, just stating some of the tripe i had seen on the net. The general concensus on here is that Arjan is a lying so-n-so. This appears to further that opinion.

yeah grew DP WW for two years from one seed.. no less than 5000 cuttings (didnt grow them all though!!).. very strong.. but like you say always can function when smoking DP and very moreish

i used to snap branches when trimming in flower just stick it in soil and get an oz bud!!! my last grow was the mother with cuts using this technique.. rooting and flowering at the same time.. 100% strike rate as well..madness..

Try Black Widow or the DP WW , in our overall topic you can see some DP WW plants and buds (fresh&dry)
The greenhouse WW is crap like all greenhouse seeds and Arjan is for sure not the inventore of WW

I always thought shanti used to work with Greenhouse seeds after he left sensi, the reason why they do alot of shantis original strains, albeit with name changes.

All I remember of it was it was the smelliest skunk I have ever known of (except the NL my mate got from the dam) its not normal for you to have a sealed bag of bud and you can still smell it 3 feet away in a sealed bag! Because it was so pale, I am wondering, maybe it was white widow?

Need to find out what that pale shit is because its so smelly and so strong.

white widow aint that pale and doesnt really stink that much either in my opinion not the same stinkyness as an afghan or blueberry
