i am getting some clones very soon

they have been rooted

can i put them under a 600w hps about 1m away

should i just put them around the perimeter of the tent- (subdued light)

They need very little light while they're rooting - when they have fully rooted you can then whack them under stronger lighting.

or you could try and get youself a metal halide bulb, just for the vegging mind.

then bang your hps back in when ya go 12/12. check ya ballast can take a m/h first tho (dont think ya can just change bulbs in some)

what if they are already rooted?

is 3 feet high enough?

as long as i keep the humidity up

i put them in my tent last night so if the light is too low i need to raise it asap

also if i cant feel the heat from the light on my hand when held at the canopy of the plants

does this mean its okay??

If their well rooted mate their ready to go... I mean grow. You can keep the light slightly further away from them than you normally would for the first day or two to let them settle in. 908

How well are they rooted? Its 2ft away for a 600w mate to grow normally so 3ft for a day or two would seem fine then lower it to 2ft away.If their not FULLY rooted keep that 600 up off them. 908

they have got a root system- they were in tiny sedling pots

i repotted them last nite into 4 inch pots

should i wait till they root these pots out before lowering light

if so should i repot again b4 lowering light

Sounds like they need to root into the 4inches at least mate so yeah if you havent got a smaller light keep it up off em. 908
