what are the advantages and disadvantages of using cfl for veg then switching to 400w hps for flowering. will the plant not grow as big in veg with the envirolite as it would pf with the hps? does anybody do this?

Start them under the cfl, advantage is that you can keep it close, stops the plants stretching. They veg much better under the bigger lights. I'd give them 10 days under the CFL.
