alright my good friends yahoo.gif

I am away to ditch my soil and go hydro but I am stuck on which road to go down unsure.gif I have narrowed it to 2 definately but what to build I ask a bubbler or Waterfarm? What do you reckon UK420?

Be you sure you got everything you need for hydro. I was forced into three months ago when a rommie showed up with two bubblers three weeks into flower, and I had to go make a few trips to re-up on gear and the like. You really want a truncheon, and a digital P.H. meter(pen). Not really sure about a water farm or what it is exactly, but the bubblers do require checking up on several times a day. I plan on going ebb and flood here shortly. hopefully it won't be as time consuming, but I'm gonna keep the bubblers too.... Good luck which ever way you choose to go.

Im in soil, at first I was going for a 8 pot wilma, then I started looking at the IWS, then I decided it was too expensive and not proven enough (no diarys) so I stumble across the Aquafarm and was set on that but now in the last few days Im thinking its got to be the Amazon 8 hole aeroponics system, looks so simple and good yeilds ... check 'red_rizla's diary they are about £120ish and measure 75 x 85 cm (ish)

i reckon you made a good choice there, i've just finished my first grow using an aquafarm. i'd done two soil grows previous to this. growing in the aquafarm was so much easier and less time consuming than soil rofl.gif .
i added a few modds to my aquafarm, i enlarged the drainage holes to just smaller than a hydroton clay ball and added more to aid drainage and root growth down to res, also added an airstone to the reservoir, and a thermometer.
you'll have to look through my threads to find my diary as i can't figure out how to link it to my signature.or just search for aquafarm white widow in diaries.
got pictures of the roots at the end, well worth a look if you've just bought one.

i would go for a bubbler and a dripper in the same shit

Just a little tip: When using the aqua/water farm remember to stick the system on a timer, so the pump dosent run all the time, noise and uneccesary, you will be able to have a burst every half hour or something like that....

here's one i grew earlier.
this was bubblegum in an open greenhouse.
aquafarm, clay pebbles, fishtank heater and pump on 24/7.

...and the roots.

Would that be on for half hour off for half hour?

alright SH i use a ghe waterfarm and mod it slightly so it is a bubbler aswell all you need to do is run an extra airline down the blue res level indicator tubing on the side to an airstone sat in the res. as soon as my plants have shot roots into the res i stop feeding on the drippers and only water the top lightly to stop my coco drying out (i grow in a coco/hydroton pebble mix in the farm) get pretty good results like this.

Hi there. I just wondered if anyone else found it hard to change the water in the resevoir on a water farm. I did a grow with one a little while ago and although not a massive crop it did produce a moke for me. The thing is I found it quite hard to change the water in it. I use to have to lift the first tub which housed the plant and pebbles etc out of the tub where you use to pour the new water and ballance it on the edge whilst i poured it in. Was there an easier way?
