afternoon all,
i'm looking to upgrade my exsisting make shift grow room after i finish my current grow, my grow room is OK but i think it's about time i had a proper grow space and proper ventilation fans e.t.c, been looking at the Bud Box XL and XXL, does anyone have any feedback on either of these?, Good?, Bad?, also are they 100% light proof?, Baz

Depends really on whether you are sleeping in the growroom for me, I say this as when my room is pitch black and my tent is shut completly you can see minute light holes in certain parts of where you zip it up. Also make sure both air vents which are velcrow stuck on the sides of bud box are sealed tight as light will leak from them. If you have an extraction of more than 150mm in these tents you will also have to cut a hole where the extraction goes, this will also cause light leaks from where you cut slightly a bigger hole.
It doesn't effect me so much as I don't sleep in my grow room, hence no light leaks, due to the timer of my lights most of my lights are off during the night also, so less lightly for light leakage from my window and it being dark, curtains drawn also during the night.
All in all though few pin hole basically, not all the way round the zip, few dots here and there, 15 or so, although you could still seal these with a bit of DIY.

Hi Bazza,
I recommend cutting 4 sheets of reflect-a-grow and sticking them to the inside, i find this does make them light proof 99%! I use a 1000w Lamp in my tent and used a 1000w MH for veg in a tent 1.4 x 1.4 x 2.m(L.B.H.) and run a 250 systemair fan that runs through a reducer to a 200mm(8") CF inside, the neg pressure this fan produces on the tent wall mean that fan speed control is absolutely necessary, Intake is via passive vents and it did me no harm yielding 21oz off of one plant!
I recommend them and with bud box being a competitive price is a sound choice, the latest 2 x 2 x 2 looks interesting used with 2 x 1000w or 2 x 600w? i would interested to hear of anyone myself who has used one?
Ben.
