Hello Everyone,
Not been around for too long but a few people have shown some interest in seeing some pics of my GR.
Well i managed to get some last night and the babies went in the night before, so i suppose this is a day two post.
The plants are Himalayan Gold and seem to have grown a cm already!
I'm going to try and get a couple of pics up each week to do sort of a diary, so you'll all know how i get on, and can let me pick your brains if i come to any problems.
From the pics you'll see a fair bit of kit which was all bought from a guy who'd never even used it! Fair enough i had to go on a 4 hour round trip to collect it but it was worth the £1k saving!!! I got £1500 worth of brand new stuff for £500!! I was

to say the least!
If it wasn't for this bargain i don't think i'd have quite has much stuff!
So i'll start with a couple of pics of the plants and there pots.
The pots were specialy made by a guy i know.
They are planted in a 60/40 mix of cococ cor and clay pebbles. They are watered for two minutes every hour and the excess watre drains out of the bottom and back into the tank.
There is a small pump in the tank which waters them connected to a 2-12 min timer. Also a twin outlet air pump, one outlet attached to an airstone in the reservoir and one to an air rind in the bottom of the pots supplying air directly to the roots.
Heres a pic of the lights and exhaustr fan.
And another, the fan is suspended by bunjees.
Heres a pic of my hydro meter and my O'zone generator, i've not used the O'zone yet has i'm only going to try it out if the smells get really bad, this was included in with the deal i got.
And heres a pic of my Veg chamber, the wood covered mylar on the floor on the right is the door but it hasn't been attached yet has the veg chamber isn't needed just yet, this will also house a mother plant, cuttings and seedlings. The inlet fan is just outside the opening and to the left, didn't manage to get a pic of it though.
Thats all the pics i have for now but will keep adding pics of the plants as and when they grow
The second light will be switched on in a couple of weeks when the babies are big enough to stand them both.
Hopefully take some cuttings before i flower them has i think i'm going to like this strain!
Anyway, Thats it for now, feel free to point out any mistakes good ideas etc you've spotted.
Should be

in no time!
Easy,

looking good vrg,
i didn't realise that the air filter went inside the room...............(never seen 1 set up)
i always pictured it being out side the room.........
looks like it will grow into your room nicely...
keep us updated bud................
what difference will the pebbles make?
( i grow in just coco, never used pebbles)
cheers

Hi SR, thanks for the comments.
The Carbon Filter > A mate of mine has his fan mounted inside the room with the filter outside so the fan sucks the air out of the room and out through the filter. But i was advised to suck the air straight through the filter, been told its more effective!
The Pebbles > The pebbles are for better drainage and more airy soil, theres about 2 inch of them in the bottom, and then a 60/40 mix of coco and pebbles in the rest of the pot.

makes sense.......does it affect(reduce) the suction of the fan at all.....
havent had no trouble (touch wood)with drainage so far with the coco,
so i will be watching with interest...........

You jammy bugger - great set up for next to no money (comparatively, anyway

).
Did this fool sell you the medium as well?
The guy i bought it all from was moving to the states so he just wanted to get rid of it all.
I bought the pots, aeroponic propogator, fans, filter, 250w light, mylar and coco seperately.
All together it cost me £1100!

But after adding all the kit up it comes to £2200!
Then it was about £250-£300 to build the room.
Should be worth it tho for some fresh bud!
Looks like you got a great little setup there verg

good luck with ya grow m8
Cheers Matey!
Need to learn the art of patience!!
yes patiants i never had any til i started growing
but when you wanna grow you need plenty of em

Thanks for the support dude!

The fan and filter are both 5inch I beleive. Can't remember what i went for in the end, but i'm pretty sure its the 5inch. I'll check and if its a different size i'll post it up.
I do know the filter is bloody heavy!

Hey PTJ have you got your LTi yet, cause you may want to think about getting a silencer as well, it says silent running fan, it means silent motor fan, the noise the air flow makes still sounds like a jet engine starting up, nightmare getting to sleep at night if your growroom is in/near your bedroom. Can't wait to get my own place and have an attic, hopefully in the summer, although in true stoner fashion I haven't even started looking yet.

I hooked my PC cooling fan up in my grow room once, for all of 5mins, sure 120CFM is brilliant, however, 80dB isn't. Added to the fact of the noise was my then decided to start getting hotter and hotter

Now i'm running a couple of small little fans

Hi,
A couple of weeks ago i swapped my 5" b&q extractor for an LTI and it is definately quieter than my old fan. Its mounted in the loft attached tyo th erafters with bungee and also uses acoustic ducting to silence air flow.
My grow is right next to my bed, and isnt too bad for noise, however the clip on fan is basically only about 1 ft from my head, and makes a horrible racket, i think its about knacked coz i cant remember it being as loud as it is at the mo. But isnt too bad as it isnt on when i go to bed and im dead to the world in the morning when it kicks in

peace

The canopy is HUGE! There must be at least 20+ main flowering tops, and then about 100+ other bud sites
