Well as the title suggests i have got some better pics of my first indoor crop and its all thanks to Jiffa for telling me how to take the pics properly.

The bigger leaves are starting to go yellow but as they're going to be harvested today i am not too worried, but before the next grow goes in to flower the light is going to be raised a bit cos i think that is why the upper bigger leaves are going yellow.

Hope you like them cos i am pretty proud of them as my first indoor grow.

Feedback is more than welcome.

Oh and by the way Jiffa as promised cheers.gif (sorry couldn't find a hug so you've gotta put up with a beer....such hardship!!!)

This is a pic of several of the plants, its a bit blurred but a damn sight better than the last one.

Hi newbuddha

There are 5 Mango plants in the box....its hard to believe really that their mother came from such humble beginnings. I was given the mother plant in February this year and she was in a very sorry state indeed, she was riddled with whitefly and she was all yellow and droopy. I didn't hold out much hope for her and for a while just left her in the garden in a pot, i had never succeeded in growing a plant from start to finish indoors let alone outside and it didn't look like i was going to be able to do it this time either.

But the story has a very happy ending indeed, the mother plant blossomed, she did fantastic and grew to over 7 foot tall, sadly we lost about a third of the crop due to high winds but i did get approx 6 1/2 to 7 oz out of her. I took some cuttings from her and grew them initially in my greenhouse in the garden during the summer, i then moved them indoors and the pics are of the resulting plants. I have 2 more mango cuttings and 3 oasis seedlings in the little box and they are getting stronger by the day.

i love growing this stuff!!!!

How's that then Owderb?

I have been keeping a diary and watching the trichomes and they seem to be ready and the pistils are going brown. Not questioning your experience just curious cos i don't want to leave them too late in case they start degrading.

Cheers for the feedback too

Yup,fraid so Justine and if you keep them going they are going to need a feed of N as they are very pale.
Owderb
I can tell by the pistils and lack of calyx swelling

They look far from done

And by the looks of the narrow leaves which indicates a sativa dom plant then i would hazard a guess that it will need at least 10 weeks flowering, possibly more

Cheers Owderb

I appreciate the advice and won't harvest for while yet, if i keep posting pics each week could you guide me as to when you think they're ready please?
Owderb
No probs but you need to feed them as they look underfed

Justine
Cheers again,

Will start to feed them again, should i give them more PK13/14 too?
Owderb
I would just give the basic food and leave the pk seeing as we dont really know how long they have to go

You dont want the plant full of phosphorus come harvest time

Ok thanks for that. I am very new to this and i really don't know what they are supposed to look like when they are ready, i did compare them with pics in the growers indoor/outdoor bible and to my untrained eye they looked ready.....means i must have harvested the one outside early too then although that was done in the first week in October which i believe is the correct time to harvest.....oh well the smoke was good!!

With your advice Owderb i should be able to have a bumper harvest this time lol.gif and at least then i'll know what they are supposed to look like for future reference.
