hi ive got quite a bit of trim and i made some hony oil and didnt like it so decided to try something else so i got an old speaker used the material that covers the front of the speaker to make siv to collect the thc crystals and the 1 thing i want to know is. is it best to freez the trim and do it or just dry it out fully and do it?? any help would be great thanx.

Hi, will that be fine enough? Before i got my bubblebags ive used a pair of tights to filter the weed out, then left the water to settle for half an hour. The crystals all settle on the bottom, then carefully pour the water off and run the last bit through a coffee filter..

i think he wants to make dry-sift, but you're prbly right...

yer i am doing it dry and is prob not the best thing to do it with but it should still work.

just 1 more thing i need to know. all my trim is dry now and have put it in a container to freez but how long should i leave it b4 i take it out n make hash??

a couple of hours should be enough but overnight would be sure. you want all the trichomes frozen so theyare brittle and stay whole as they drop off.

I use a Hash maker to dry sift mine, had it for years. Freezing for a couple of hours or overnite will all work just as well, you just want to get the temps down to seperate the trics.

I will probably get shot down for this but find it easier and a hell of a lot less messy than bubble bags and the results are fine, the down side is you end up with aching arms!

yer useing the speaker cover material worked fine taped over a bowl am just making the puff now by butting it in the oven n rolling ect but am gonna do it a few times to compact it more. will i have to cure the puff or will it be ready to smoke once colled down?

ok no reply so i smoked some anyway in a bong and i feel quite stoned now only prob i had was that it still doesnt really stay together still quite dusty i think this is prob cause the speaker cover i used let some bits through that shouldnt have gone through but is still a nice smoke.

Maybe cause you didn't compress it - you smoked kief.
