Hi

A while back I was sent some Durban Skunk (Seedsman Seeds) ex stock for free.

I have previously germinated a few (very poor germ rate) but ditched them due to lack of space.

I now have a bit of spare room in my grow room & was just wondering if anyone has grown them & if they were any good.

There is no info any where about this strain & wondered if Seedsman stopped selling them as there were probs with them.

If you got them from where I got mine, good luck with germinating them - mine were as dead as a dead thing

Yeah I know what u mean!

I only wanted a few but knew there were a prob with these beans, so I used paper towel trick & 40 beans!!!

Got 8 going rest were dead as...um er yeah a dead thing

These have gone into compost.

Fingers crossed they will take.....

I reckon thats why they were free!

I got loads of these off seedsman. Tried ten paper towel style about 5 weeks ago, and 6 cracked.. only 2 came out of he rockwool though. neglect really, i just couldnt be arsed with them. got two males.. one of which autoflowered! I was gonna do a hack with my crop for outdoor experiments.. but i chucked them in the bin the other day

they were still in 3 inch pots.. But i didnt fancy the stray pollen.

I'm gonna try some more though, Guerilla 2008

Out of the 8....

3 lived.... some never got out of compost...some popped out but stopped growing....

1 started looking a bit mutant but has sorted itself out.

Just gone from 3" pots into 6" pots today.

Looking bloody great next to my 3 mutant DP blueberry.

Will keep you posted.....

I just cracked some more of these as back up... Did i read it hermied somewhere?

Wanted to know the extent of the male bits really..

Yup it hermied... maybe it was me I dunno... 1 of my feminised Blurberry did the same at the same time... picked males flowers off & no problems since.

Looks very runty compared to my BB now & not as healthy... taken on a Sativa pheno...smells great though.

Fingers crossed it will provide something a bit different but in hindsight I would splash out on good seeds... Im going to ditch the rest of these seeds... they are more hassel than they are worth!

Hopefully smoke report to come in about a month!

Well a few months late but im also having a go with the old freebies!

I got like 150 free with my skywalker order, so as im a bit skint and got no seeds thought i would give them a go.
Out of 45 i germed(paper towel meth) about 20 popped through the shell, out of them 10 came through the soil, out of which 4 never got there 1st leaves,3 are mutants with either twisted or odd sized leaves and the other 3 seem to be fine and doing well.

I will add to this thread as the time goes by, will also add some pics later.

The only ones i've managed to get going were males...
I want to try them outdoor... Keep us informed how long they go!

yh i was planning to just stick them outdoors, but like i said, i'm skint and they were jus sitting there.


UPDATE:

I now have 5 still going,2 of the mutants sorted them selfs out and are looking good.
I will try and post some pics later today.

Thought it was time for a update.

Just after my last post my mate gave me some Khola cuttings that where 3 weeks rooted which he got given at a squat party.

So even though my durban were still unsexed and young i put my room into 12/12.
Out of the 5 DS i had going 3 turnt out to be fems and are doing nice even after the stress of early sexing.
These are 3 weeks into 12/12 and theres some pics of the khola aswell
