I've got some envirolights, won't know if they work until I get my e40 sockets but you know those shitty little glass rings that reinforce the envirolights, well a few have broken off.

There's signs that the enviros weren't treated to kindly, but the guy I got them from seems quite sound and I've no doubt he'd refund me, it's just I get the feeling those crappy little glass rings snap off easy.

So, envirolight users, should I return my lights?

i have enviros that had the strengthers broken off, just a squirt of silicon or glue or even putty and this should strengthen them

mines work fine with this type of quick fix

I would get the refund mate, theres no telling how long they will last now they are slightly damaged.

if they are supposed to be new, get a refund, you would'nt pay for a new car which had bits missing.

Those bits fall out over time anyway mate - it's nothing to worry about

The only thing I'd be concerned with is their age/use. Enviros get noticeably dimmer after a few grows - residue builds up inside the tubes and lets out less light.

Apart from that they'll be fine

I got em off ebay, but although they were packed up, I'm not sure they're new, in-fact the look a little dirty on the glass, not the inside, the outside.

I got em on ebay and if I send em back I doubt I'll see em again cause I've already paid for them.



Anyone know what the difference is between new and used ones to look at?

yep looks used, dont panic tho, they just lose there output, thats why he's sold them. i heard of people using them for a couple of month 24/7 then replacing them.

if you got them cheap he hasnt took you for a dick, but look at the evidence, supports broken, wear and tear on the fitting, don't sound like brand new. was the spacers that broke off in the box, when it arrived. and because it looks pro it dosnt mean it is.

Be aware that many people here feel it is not safe buying grow gear on fleabay, even if you don't get ripped off. Get your stuff from the uk420 shop, completely reliable and discreet.
