what seeds would you grow on your 1st grow and why ??
useing hydro flud & drain ???

Super silver Haze, Jack Herer, NL5xHaze, Northern Lights, AK 47, Bangi Haze or Nevillles Haze but not sure if nevilles haze is available just now?, there will be easier strains to grow but these are on my 'love to grow' list, good luck with whatever you pick tho

Durga Mata from Paradise Seeds is good indica beginners strain, its piss easy to grow, stays pretty short, will take a shit load of abuse and its only £20 for 10 seeds , I grew it for my first attemp and made loads of errors and still ended up with 5oz of bud from 4 plants in a drobe.

Its a loverly strain too, nice citrusy perfumy aroma and the stone is a nice mellow dreamy body stone which isn't too couchlocky, it has plenty of fans on this site, do a search for it and you will find loads of info.

I liked it so much I am growing some of it now

I would recommend 'The Pure' by Flying Dutchmen.

i have just recently started some sensi skunk and i am in my 5th week from seed.

I had a few environmental problems at the beginning, but these things just keep on growing, they are not too fussy either.

they are in coco being fed canna aqua veg A+B(ph 5.8 with progressive ec) under a 200w envirolight and they is lookin fine

they were 16 pounds for ten and i had 100% germination they come highly recommended but i do not know how they will smoke but i am really looking forward to the results.

it's probably best to try a simple hardy strain first to get experience and so on.

Would have to say Lowryder #2. Piece of piss to grow, very fast (2 months), and a very nice smoke.

Did it for my last grow and 3 plants yielded 20g, 32g and 38g's. Buds were sooooo sticky and had a varying array of smells that were out of this world. Everyone who had some agreed it was proper pukka bud and were all coming back for more!

Am doing 3 other strains this grow (white berry, blue moonshine & caramella) but may well go back to LR 2 in the future she is such a good girl!

The Pure is FD's version of skunk#1.
From what I know, the breeder at FD was the first to incorporate true breeding genetics from the states over here in Europe.........I could be wrong there though.
Still, cracking plant.

Well, considering the 38g one was nearly double what the breeder says it will yield, I'd call that quite good. For what is lost on yield compated to a 8 or 9 week strain, is made up for by its ease of growth.

Its a damn fine plant, and will keep sticking up for it!

Bob we are talking about easy to grow strains here though!

LR2 needs no re potting, is auto flowering hence no light changes, no topping, no cloning etc

It can also take a real battering by a 1st time grower.

I started off doing 2 batches of LR2 (1 outdoor - now 1 indoor) & got some nice bud without too much hassle. I am now moving on to better strains.

So I agree the yields are shit compared to a "true" cannabis plant BUT it is an ideal beginners plant.

So like Papa I agree it is a fine plant!

so if i grow lowryders#2 will 3 liter pots be big enuff ??

Smaller pots = smaller yield. I went with 10L pots, wouldnt want to go much under that to aim for about 1 oz per plant

Basically you need something that is quite cheap but also really good. Talk about having cake and eating it, oh yes it's called Skunk 1 (sensi seeds) or the Pure by Flying Dutchman.

Although Dutch Passion also do Skunk 1.

I got a yield of 338 g off 4 LR #2 on my first grow ( One plant was 121g ! ) , and Ive seen a few other people get around 2 oz a plant, so if you get it right the yield is there, and as everyone says, they can take alot of abuse. I think they should have had a new name for the LR #2 as I think there is alot of confusion about yields from #1 and #2. One point though is that mine did not take 2 months - they took nearly 3 months!
Im growing some White Rhino atm and theyre looking very nice, so it might be worth looking at one of the various White strains as well.

Good luck mate - I reckon youll get about 60 % fems. Have you got many mutants, cos i find I get about 10 - 20 % mutants. Also dont write off any slow starters, - you can still get a good result off them.
Best advice is dont shock them, with cold water/cold growroom. They will flower at 4 weeks weather you like it or not, so if you shock them, and they stop growing for a bit, theyll flower as tiny plants!

It'd be great if you did a diary, and Id certainly be v interested To upload the pics, go to the bottom of the post reply box, and click 'browse' to find the picture on your comp. Then click 'upload'. When its uploaded, go to manage attachments and click the picture with a green plus.
