Hi.
Ive just went to my drobe and notied loads of little white bugs crawling about the top of the soil.
I waterd yesterday, tbh i havent noticed them before.
the look like white spidermites, the have a few legs big round backs and antennas, and there all over my soil.
Ive been having probs with thrips and spidermite, andf some fungus gnats.
these dont look like any of the pics on here for FG larve or springtails..

Ive spotted the same things on my soil yesterday. Look nothing like springtails, they are more round, basically a white spidermite. Cant find anything on the boards... sorry to bring up and old thread. Will try and get a pic bit hard as they are tiny.

Soil Mites
QUOTE(oldtimer1 @ Aug 22 2008, 12:53 PM)

If they are not harming your plants, why are you even thinking about this?
Anyhow they sound like soil mites, these are in every square inch of this planets top soil and are often found in compost, they are harmless to plants.
A sample pic of some soil mites:-
