hi all ...
i have some lowryders on the grow atm , doing well and been growing for 2 weeks now . when they have finished i would love to grow some more , but i will be moving house , so may have a garage .for my next grow i was wondering if you lot (the pros) could help me in my quest ....
i am looking for a plant that is short , gives good crop , not to much matance as i am still quite new to all this , and cheap to buy .... i know it's a bit of a tall order but any suggestions ? . i have a 200 w enviro and was planning to make my own grow box and a proto tyope growing tube i have been working on for some weeks now (still to be made btw) ....

You should have a look at Paradise Seeds Durga Mata as it describes exactly what you are looking for, They are a short indica, I grow it in a drobe with low head room and a 400w lamp with no probs. Its £20 for 10 seeds and its very easy to grow, it can take lots of abuse I grew it for my first attempt and made quite a few mistakes but was very pleased with the results.
The finished buds have a nice lemony, purfumy smell and the smoke is very kinda mellow body stone which is very dreamy, its a very underated strain ideal for the beginner, I am growing some at the moment

thank you jakk . just been through your log , they look nice . so lopping the top off them will make them more bushy ? is that called scogging ?
ok so now i have two top contenders the Mazar & Durga Mata , they both fit my needs ...
so now i have to decide which one to grow for (sorry could not resist it)

also is it true that plants love to put down long roots ? i have been hankering with the idea of making a grow box with a difference . i was told that most plants love to put down long roots , what i was intending to do was make a grow cabinet with 6 long pipes approx 2 ft long (pipes being 6' diameter) with stone at the bottom for drainage and then one ft of top soil . made over the top of this would be my box with adjustable height lighting and in - out fans ..
what do you think of the idea ? this is why i need info from the pros about root systems ...

taking the top off is called topping, you end up with 2 main stems instead of 1 which helps to keep them shorter, there is lots of advise on here about topping if you do a search
