Hey.
I picked some Super silver haze up last night from a friend of a friend. Lovely smoke nice and strong but just not what I was smoking about 5 years ago, The stuff that I had before was so strong ya didnt usually smoke the full joint all at once. I can remember making a joint once having a few puffs on it, laying back on my settee and as i put my head back I got that falling feeling, ya know like when ya half a sleep and ya think ya have fallen out of bed or sommat? Well it was like that only I felt like i was continually falling until i sat up and took a deep breath. Never had I experienced that before nor after, truly potent weed. From that day on I always treat that weed with respect until 1 day I couldnt get hold of it anymore.
But now its back on the scene and although it looks the same tastes the same and looks like it was grown well it just doesnt have that same wow affect. Do ya reckon that the strain has just deteriated over the years or do ya think I just had some pretty special stuff before? Or are there a few types of it about from different breeders?

2 days ago i bought a few grams of super silver haze. Wasn't strong at all either. Smoked the whole bag alone and opened some white widow and after that i was wasted

But the SSH didn't made me feel badly stoned or high....

You get variation in 'effect' based on so many factors its hard to put your finger on one just based on a bag of buds.
The stuff you got could have been cut at a less than ideal time for whatever reason, it may have been the produce of a slightly weaker plant than the 'norm', the stuff you had before may have been from a special mother plant that got saved because of its potency...
or...yes the current seed run by whoever made the lot yours came from could be less potent than the last lot due to a bad selection of either father or mother or both.
or...the plant your recent stuff came from could have been selected based on the personal preference of someone who was looking for different effects than what you had before, (for example Yeild may have factored into the choice).
You get the idea...
