Hi I have a 1.2 x 1.2 x 2m grow tent in a garage & currently am holding temps at 15-25c. I want to keep growing through winter but know temps are going to drop too low.

I cant heat garage as this would cost a fortune with elec rads etc BUT could I safely put a tube heater in tent do you think? Maybe mount on bricks & not keep too close to edges. The last thing I want to is cause a fire!

If so what size/power tube heater should I go for?

If not any ideas?

Thanks for quick reply so do you reckon to put the rad in the tent? I have not got a lot of room but maybe fit a small rad in there...thought a tube heater would be smaller....

quite a few guy use the tube heaters with good results,
ie - heats the area & are cheaper to run than an oil heater.

have a look HERE for heaters

Hi mate,

I bought a tube heater a couple of weeks ago to try and keep my loft grow warm.I'm growing in 1.2m X 0.9m X 1.2m high.
I've bought the 2 foot tube heater and I'm running it about 60 per cent of the time at the moment and it is doing a sterling job.Hopefully when I seal my grow space properly I'll be able to use it right through the winter, even if I have to have it on all the time.I've sat mine on the brackets it came on,about 100mm away from the edge of my walls and the sheeting hardly even gets warm.Hope this helps mate
