Full Version: Quick Strain In Time For Christmas?
UK420 > Cultivation > Strain Base > Strain Talk
Nukkinfuts
Hi peeps,

I am in need of some advice from the good people of uk420.

Is there a strain thats quick finishing that might be ready in time for christmas? It would be a bonus if the strain was hardy enough to cope with small newbie'ish mistakes. Strong couchlock stone would be good too!

Thanks in advance.

that dont leave long... what is it? 12 weeks?

week for drying, thats 11. 8 week flower leaves 3 weeks to get 12/12. you could do with a cutting really. i guess you could get a seed up n flowered though. not be very big though, perhaps 14gram? or maybe 3.5g but that is each..

maybe something that autoflowers like lowryder/lowryder2 , you might not get much of a yield though.

whatever you decide you're really gonna have to pull your finger out to be ready in time for xmas .

yeah because its a bit tight to get a strain finished for xmas i'd say lowryders as well for quickness, you may not get loads yeild wise but if you plant a whole pack and get say 5 females you'll still get a good enough return, maybe get Lowryder#1 and #2 for variety? smoke.gif

It's exactly 10 weeks between now and the 20th of December, which if a strain could be brought home in that time would give you a week to dry which would give you a schmoke on christmas day.

Best route is Lowryder really and it'll be a close thing still.

how fast are the riders? it would help with the maths.

i would of thought something like top44 would be ideal. just something that flowers fast as possible. i didnt realise the low riders were quick...

Have grown Lr2 and they were not to bad. so might give them a go again.

Is Top44 any good? would that finish before crimbo?

Thanks for your replys!

if you have access to clones; then a hashplant or kushplant can be done in 8 weeks total. im canadian and with a strain like NL#5, you can start from seed and veg it in an EZ cloner - hydro tank - for 3 weeks or any hydro tank for root formation and foliar feed for top growth. then transfer to soil pots minimum 2 gal. - perfer 5 gal - and flower for 6 weeks, of which the last 2 are full flush! you can easily achieve 2 oz. dry per plant using a light ratio of 80 watts per plant and 4 days feed per week. plants need to be moist not soaked nor dry untill last 2 weeks.

from what ive heard, top44 is misleadingly titled, and should be called top58-65 from some of the reports ive read... i remeber somewhere on here someone saying that packet flowering times give an outline to when the plant can be cut for selling, not nessecerily when they be best to smoke yinyang.gif

lowryders are your best bet id imagine mate, if youve not started anything yet. youll be well well lucky, like shiva blessed, to get a regular flowering strain popped, vegged and flowered with no bother at all.

maybe if you threw seeds straight into 12/12 youd get something, but its unpredictable and risky and so on...

my 2p mate, would to be get a pack of LR or LR2 and a pack of a regular strain that jazzes yer jinger, get them all on the go now. youll have smoke for jesus birtbhday party and something for later also thumbsup.gif

get crackin bro, and good luck with it cheers.gif

m8 to be honest i dont think it would be a waste my m8 had over an Oz. off 1 LR#2 and it good weed , and it will be ready for christmas, being the main problem i think i would go with the LR#2 it was easy to grow loved nutes and grew well fast for me but then all said and done they arnt the most stable strain i had a LR#2 thread going and the amount ov different phenotypes was unbelevable there were so many different lookin LR plants, there was 1 grown outside in moscow and he got a massive yield over an Oz. without lights so i would say it just luck ov the draw and were u get seeds from mine were JD LR#2 and everyseed popped up but the ratio is 70% male and it was bang on i got 3 females outta 10 but u can tell the sex at 21 day well in advance ov the pollen appearing so just chop em down lol.gif

HOPE U MAKE A GOOD CHOICE AND GOOD LUCK WITH GETTING A DECENT SMOKE FOR CHRISTMAS!!!

i was in same predicumant about 2 weeks ago wondering about chrimbo smoke and my m8 gave me 2 cheese cuttings to grow so i am hoping they will be ready in time they should be as they cuttings and have saved me alot ov growing time already. heres a pic ov em!!
hype
matey dont bother with the LR's they will just bring more disapointment when you yeild fuck all, just get any quick strain and get on with it!!!! even if its not quite ready for christmas you could chop 1 a bit early and still have a smoke christmas day then wait for the others to get ripe for new year stoned.gif lowryders are shite i dont understand all the hype about them on here they are pony
Nukkinfuts
Well thanks to a kind member of the forum donating some seeds i will be growing out some LR's.
notts.pots
ive got nothing against the LR fam so good luck mate hope there down by christmas.

a combo lowryder with a top producer like blueberry is a given hereabouts. when you combine an autoflower with a high THC strain like blueberry or quicker yet; whitewidow, you will achieve a great smoke in 7 - 8 weeks by eliminating the veg time. but a plain lowryder is "ditch weed" with a THC content of 4 - 6%. way too much SALES hype here and alot of myth. the whole point about LOWRYDER is the autoflower trait which cuts down the total grow time. for those who do not believe! grow it and see for yourself.
