Hi all

My grow room is just about ready to accept a lamp, I was looking at the 400W sodium lowbay on the Silvalight site.

Has anyone had any first hand experience with this light?

Are there any alternatives you guy's would recommend?

Thanks in advance

cool.gif high rvw, hope all is well for you and yours ??

i havent any experience with the 400w lowbay, i started with the 250 and this much i can tell you they are HEAVY ! it is possible to seperate the ballast, i cant put my hand on the link at the moment but i will look for it smile.gif the other alternative is a ready made remote ballast light from our shop which you can find Here you will still need a contactor as long as you are using a light above 250w these are also in the shop wink.gif

hope this helps
keep safe, what are you gonna grow ?

Ha ha, I'll be coming after U if they are cabbages smile.gif. I bought some Generals Daughter from this site of which I set going 6 seeds ( 6 to be planted later) 1 was a no show and 1 didn't quite make the surface for some reason sad.gif So 4 GD's are in my make shift veg box while I finish the grow room.

They are growing real fast. They are in 24/7.

I finished making the contactor tonight from the excellent thread in the Grow room forum. I added the common ground as recommended and it works a treat.

The grow room is 2'6" x 3' x 6' which can be made smaller if nec. I will post some pics when she is up and running.
It is almost finished and that is why I need the advice of which SOD to aquire I thought a 400W for this space would be about right?

The advice you gave me hemlok sounds good but there is a significant difference in price £119.99 against £59.99. wink.gif

Can you explain the differences?

Cheers in adv
