i was wondering, i have a plant that has mold on the stem and it has eaten way most of the area but the rest of the already formed buds are still looking ok. talking about my main cola.
what i was wondering was will the buds on top and below of the mold have spores on them and therefore eventually ill just end Up with mold everywhere and will buds be dangerous to smoke even if they were around mold ?
thanx guys

hi starway,
you should remove the moldy bud ASAP if you leave it then the rest will mold. throw away or bubble all moldy weed but you should be fine with anything that doesnt have mold on just check every buds PROPERLY!

there's a product called RotStop that you might consider. seems to work.

I realise this may be difficult(i don't know your circumstances) but you need to be going back to that plant every other day. keep checking is the only way if you want to keep what crop you've got left. Thats what i'm going to do know my mandala has caught it.

Last night I blasted everyone of my remaining plants with Citrofresh which had meant to keep bud rot at bay, I checked for signs of rot as I was doing it and found nothing

my early mistys have caught the budrot aswel

im gonna keep checking them. white fur all over the affected bud. removed about a ten bag so im quite lucky. but how long does it take to infect the whole plant? days, weeks? removed all mould that i could see but no doubt ive missed some and if not im sure it will return anyway

You should've invested in some Citrofresh or Rotstop mate, look;
"Even when you think the plant has gone past the point of recovery, try Citrofresh as a last resort. Because it produces no negative reaction with plants and does not put any pressures on the plant root system, Citrofresh goes far beyond the limits of previously used chemical alternatives!"
