hi guys, i just joined this site. Looks great. I've been preparing to grow a few plants of my own for personnal use and for a bit of fun. Ive spent the last 2 months reading growing guides and watching some "how to" videos on youtube. I have since bought myself some "bigbud" seeds as i read into a few strains and liked the desiption of this one. I have bougth the seeds and successfully germinated 3/5 and those 3 are looking very healthy with nice green leaves and smell lush! they are about 7 inches high and have just developed there first set of "proper" leaves and i see more on the way. But im now experiencing doubt:

they were germinated using i normal halogen desk lamp on 16-18 hrs per day of light. Now the sit on my windowsill (no one can see) and seem to be doing fine. I have started them on mirical grow at half strength. My pots are 8 inches depth and 5 inches width (top) I want to have a little grow setup, nothing expensive, just so they can grow and produce bud, im not to fussed about getting the maximum out of them, i just want a first time successful smoke off them, i can learn the rest after. Im paraniod about the law finding out and a mate tells me they can find out through my electric bill. Is there any half decent lighting systems that will give my plants the light required to grow them through veg and flowering stages without my electric bill going through the roof. Like a said earlier, its for personnal use so i make no money back lost through a heavy electric bill. Can any one suggest anything?

much appreciated.

I think you ought to have built your room before sprouting seeds mate

They certainly shouldnt be 7" tall and only on their first set of leaves, they are stretching due to low light levels

Plus if you are in the uk you dont want your plants in the windowsill at this time of year or else they will start to flower

Hi mate, if your that bothered about your leccy bill why not change suppliers now. That way your new supplier would have no idea what your'average' electric bill was therefore they would have nothing to report wink.gif

TBH one light is probably no more than running a decent fish tank or reptile vivarium which people do everyday of the week.Don't let the paranoia get to you mate, its not worth it, and good luck with your grow biggrin.gif

no i didnt mean first set of leaves, i meant the proper sort of leaves, it has 3 nodes at the moment. Stems, are nice and thick, i know the normal light lamps produce make the plant concentrate on stem growth, but they have alos had alot of real sun towards end of summer. Can anyone link me to a good light from this site's shop? that would be good.

thanks for the support. very quick replies! I need you to link me some lights, cause im going shopping!!!!!!!
