Hi people as the topic title says what would you rate the least smelliest cannabis to grow?
Im looking for a strain thats not too smelly to grow but it has to be a nice smoke.
And if possible a indica or fast flowerer.
FYI i heard nothern lights doesnt smell that much.
Reason being, i have flat mates and when i open my budbox i dont it to stink the house out.
But yeah if you know quite a less pungent starin please do tell me.
Thanks guys

hi seroius fky i am growing seroius seeds chronic at the moment and their is no smell from them..alzap.s i also have a budbox..

I found Northern Lights to be pretty odourless in grow, dry and smoke. Not as exciting when you open a cured jar though as say White Russian but more secure!

ETA "pretty odourless" should be taken with a pinch of salt, it still smells of weed just not as strongly but you still need a carbon filter

2nd fan & filter ....that IS an interesting idea! wink1.gif

I added some epsom salts to my feed the other day and the next day the smell of my plants was minimal, same the next day then on day three the smell was back.. dont know if the smell went because of the salts or not but im going to feed again today so if ive got no smell tomorrow I'll let you know...
dont know if this helps

Yeah thanks that would be intresting..
Thanks for all the replys guys, i am going to be using a carbon filter and rvk its just im worried about when i open the tent and the house mates will smell it..
Well northern lights seems to be the one....
Why should i stay away from heavy indicas i love them the most sad.gif
About using the fan in the room, i think thats a good idea thanks.
If people can keep updating this thread about what strains they've grown and how much they smelt it would also too help other people.
Real good community here, love it!

look - weed stinks, period. Fan + filter = the win.

tbh from my own experience I could only recommend Chronic for low odor, I have grown lots of low odor plants but most of the time you will find a stinky pheno of the same strain.

White rhino is a good example, some pheno's have almost no smell when growing but others stink like cheese.

Chronic while maybe not the greatest smoke is very stable and doesnt contain a "stinky" pheno that I know of wink1.gif

I used to get a bit hung up on smell after a security scare with the neighbours, but if you have sufficent extraction with a filter it really shouldnt be a problem smile.gif

Once your fan and filter is installed you can grow Cheese or Lemon Stinky or any other strain and even with your growroom door open no smell will migrate anywhere in your gaff as the negative pressure created by the fan will ensure all smelly air leaves via the filter.

Very true, ive been reading about white rhino and how it is a heavy smoke.
I think i may have to grow that biggrin.gif
The worry is that when i open my budbox the whole flat will stink, not if the smell from the budbox would be vented odourless.

Honestly serious,

with adequate 'suck' or more properly 'negative pressure' the smell just cannot escape unless its name is Houdini.

Well doc thanks for convincing me, so if i have the right extraction for my unit i dont need to worry about the flat stinking when i open the budbox?
Thanks biggrin.gif wink1.gif

interesting observation, although apparantly too much epsom salts can cause lockout problems

34.gif - FFS don't keep adding epsoms, you'll be in for a world of hurt! 34.gif
windowsilllowryder?
i was wondering the same thing. fair enough with a decent size fan and cf i was hoping the smell would be minimal and from what you lot say that should be fine, but i cant have another fan and filter outside the tent so does that mean when i have door open to water/prune/fiddle/generally admire. will the whole room suddenly stink of weed everytime i have the flap open?
Blabblabberbab
yes.

but it stinks when you smoke a spliff - same difference whistling.gif

chill! - just open a window wink1.gif
