i was wondering how many light's and fan's you could run safely without causing suspician ?. and how many light's to a plug socket is safe ? sonic..

Ity depends on the whole circuit, not just the one socket. Best wire in a new circuit if anyone wants to put a big load on it.

Get a DIY book or check the web.

Look for advice on wiring an electric shower/cooker, instead of cooker socket use 2 or 3 double sockets. Wire them according to advice in the DIY book - I cant remember offhand whether series or parallel is best.

I have no idea , I wonder if the police check electricity bills ? a 250/400 watt will make about £20 / month difference to your leccy bill. If you use 2 x 1000 that's gonna be suspect. If anyone queries my bills ill just tell them I have 3 pc's etc running 24/7 on a broadband connection, i dont know any other ways of getting round it.

13 amps on one socket. 30 amps (normally) on one ringmain(circuit)

Amps = watts / volts

In the uk a 600w light is :-

600 / 240 = 2.5 amps

So in theory you could run 5 of one socket.

However they use more power when they first start so If all 5 were set to come on at once the socket might fail. better to have some delay between each light starting.

I suggest to alway leave some leeway from what a socket or circuit is rated at and the actual load you put on it

I do know what a j is!

If you say pass the joint ot me and we'll all get stoned then thats wrong, its pass the joint to me and I'll get stoned. When I first saw it on the poster I thought it was an L (as it was all in capitals) and that the L probably stood for Left. If we all passed it on to the left then everyone would get stoned.

BTW, it is OK to be pedantic about poetry?
