title says it all really , i plan on growing 1 or 2 plants and have a private landlord so things may get a bit fishy
also i have a world war 2 style electricity meter , all ye old 420 gurus might recognize em , i put me 50 pence peices in and it gives me lecky .
i need to know roughly how much it would cost and how noticeable it would be to run just 1 600w hps 16-18 hours a day ? ive tried loads of lecky websited but obviously they dont tell me
any help would be much appreciated and i wont be surprised if no one knows

That is a very old meter mate.
It will definately cost you more than if you had a quarterly bill.

I would budget for £5-6 per week.

Running a kiln for pottery or casting is a good cover story if anyone asks, you could always have "given it up and sold the gear" by the time your asked. I ran a kiln for over a year on and off on a pay as you go meter and it chewed through the leccy.... thinking of it now its no wonder the village shop keeper looked so suspicious everytime we went in to buy the cards

Im pretty new to the game but id say 600w is way too much for just 1-2 plants?

A 250w in pretty small room is good enough for 4 plants easily

depends on the yeild you want , I've done one plant (sativa dom) under a 600w before and it filled the room,

you'd need to sit beside the meter feeding the coins if it takes 50p
you'll get no rest. i'd plum for envirolite till the meter is changed to cards. i see no end of hassles there with a 600w usage.
unless you cram 20 squids worth in at a time?
nothing wrong with 1 or 2 plants under 600w btw. don't be fooled into thinking otherwise
